I am still angry, disappointed and feel like I cannot trust this organization in the future!!
We arrived at our VRBO destination 5 minutes before we could check in and were suddenly told our rental was cancelled due to double booking!
So now we have 8 people without accommodation in a very busy small mountain town with a huge race going on and very little choices!
It took 3 hours for an accommodation to be found for us and then we were told the next day we would be given other accommodations
I started calling about 1 pm the next day and was continually told that we were top priority and to just stand by
At 6 pm I was informed that because my money had been refunded that VRBO was no longer responsible to find or pay for our accommodations
I was pissed off to stay the least We managed to find a place , however the cost was way more plus we didn’t have the kitchen facilities we had planned on so our food was wasted plus we had to eat out so now our costs went up plus we were unable to enjoy the time together!
I do not think that paying for accommodation for one night is a satisfactory compensation and I do not believe that washing your hands of us after giving us accommodations for one nite was justified
I have another trip booked thru this company and now I am second guessing whether or not o will get thousands of Km away and suddenly have nowhere to stay as well
