You will feel a world apart when you're at Mt. Joy curled up near the unique and cozy fireplace during the cold fall and winter stays. In the crisp mornings sip coffee or tea on the morning balcony as you wake to birds chirping. In the evening enjoy the vast sky as the sun sets over the mountain tops and enjoy your evening cocktail or wine before dinner. If you are looking for value and comfort, look no further.

Mt. Joy is ideal for short-term, mid-term or even long-term stays. One guest stayed for 4 months visit while putting their inspired finishing touches on the book they wrote. Other guests enjoyed their visit after entertaining at the famous Gruene Hall. Most of the guests who stay come for the hiking trails near by summer activities like floating the Guadalupe or jet skiing on the sparkling waters of Canyon Lake. Easy access for kayak as well and just a half mile down the hill.

So many things to do...hike the many near by trails. Visit the Heritage Museum, short drive to Natural Wildlife Bridge, Famous Snake Farm, and the one an only Schlitterbahn Water Park and Resort. If you are a wine enthusiast there are many wineries near by.

Mt. Joy is my personal vacation home, I enjoy sharing it and I kindly ask guest to treat it with the upmost respect leaving it as pristine as you found it. I welcome up to six guests and accommodate one well-behaved pet dog with a $125 non-refundable fee provided you are a responsible pet owner who cleans up after them.
