"BayView Cottage" ligger i den gated Kings Bay Village vid bredden av Chesapeake Bay i Bay Creek Resort i Cape Charles på Virginia's Scenic Eastern Shore. Lokalbefolkningen kallar Kings Bay Village-hem för "jelly Bean" -hemmen på grund av de många livliga färgerna i dessa västindiska stilhem. Som en del av denna färgglada Bayside-by har "BayView Cottage" utsikt över Chesapeake Bay från morgonrummet på andra våningen och från dess Crows-Nest, Party-rum på tredje våningen. Utsikt över byns sjö finns också medan du grillar och kopplar av på hemets bakre däck. Med fyra plus sovrum och tre fulla bad, en TV i varje sovrum, ett rekreationsrum med ett spelbord, cyklar, kajak och paddelbräda, etc., och ett välutrustat kök, "BayView Cottage" och Kings Bay Village erbjuder allt som behövs för en avkopplande och tillfredsställande semester.

"BayView Cottage's" gäster kan promenera i den närbelägna Kings Creek Marina och delta i evenemang som hålls vid småbåtshamnen. Check in was at gatehouse of one community, then had to drive to our community and get buzzed in because our gatehouse wasn’t manned. The kitchen lacks any basic spices or cooking oils or sprays. Bring everything you need for your meals. The house was nice and in a clean, quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our time there.

Great spot with beautiful sunsets

We really enjoyed our stay. A block from the bay with sunset views from the 3rd floor. Pictures of the listing don’t do it Justice. All the beds and mattresses have been updated. The only constructive feedback would be to change the carpet - it has some stains but it didn’t bother us as it was clean - just a few stains here and there - and the Roku remotes didn’t work in the bedrooms. Otherwise everything else was perfect with the very spacious and clean house!! Highly recommend.

Great family home

This house was perfect-great location with the ability to message home manager without any issues. Home was clean and stocked with plenty of dishes and linens. Community pool is not on site but an easy 15 min golf cart ride and a great way to see Cape Charles. We had a fabulous stay!

Great place for gathering of friends.

My friends and I enjoyed the wide, open living space. Having a table in the porch was a plus. The house, being walking distance to the beach, we enjoyed the morning nature walks. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathrooms were clean although some shower curtain liners need replacing. Except for difficulty in locking the front door which was open when we arrived, difficulty in locating the remote controls which were placed in a drawer, and supplied with only one set of towels per person, we had a great stay and I recommend the place. Doug, our rental agent was very responsive to our calls and needs.

Loved place and want to stay again but few issues.

Nice place. Paddleboard was locked and not available. Birds made their appearance apparent in bottom outdoor porch. Annoyed and frustrated that we basically lost a day with golf cart cause we plugged in on the outside electrical outlet that was dead. So cart didn’t charge. Lost all day with cart. Leaks were bad under sink enough that we needed a handyman to come by. So we would go again with a few issues to address. Nice place. Wonderful access to beach and nice views on porches. Nice size of house for growing kids and ten people.

House was very roomy.enty of room for everyone. Kitchen was amazing. Had a few issues with the toilet but my husband fixed it. Had trouble with remotes for TV but we did not watch much TV anyway.

Beach Week

This was a great property with access to a private beach for the community. Cape Charles is a great family town that is quiet and has excellent beaches. It was the perfect spot to meet family meeting in the middle of the north and the south.

Great getaway

The property was beautiful and a great location. We enjoyed ourselves. The air conditioner broke but they sent someone out immediately and although it couldn't be fixed the temperatures were such that we were comfortable. It was only on one floor but two of the other floors were functioning and we just opened the windows to catch a nice breeze. They were quick to respond and apologetic.

Great escape

A great change of scenery and relaxation after months of being at home. We were a bit nervous due to Covid but the house was beyond clean and throughout town everyone had their masks on and sanitizers. It was a great escape from all that’s going on and can’t wait to return!

House was extremely well equipped. Property manager even offered to buy us a clam pot. Plenty of room. All essentials were here to get us started(TP, paper towels, detergent, dishwasher soap). We brought extra towels and blankets but all were provided. Private beach was beautiful and calm. We loved it!!

a great vacation and town!!

This was our second stay in this neighborhood, first stay at Bayview Cottage. We had 11 family members plus two others for day visits. We had plenty of room in this house. With two bedrooms on the first level, two bedrooms on the second level, and another space in the crow's nest with a twin plus trundle- it was everything we needed. There was also a "morning room" with a pull out couch if we needed it. Off the morning room was a wonderful deck that had great views of the beautiful Cape Charles sunsets!! We loved the ability to use the swimming pool in a nearby neighborhood. We would switch between going to the pool one day and the public beach the next. We love this little town. Everyone is friendly and waves. We love the ability to drive the golf carts around too. We will definitely be back and if we need another big space to accommodate our family, we will rent this house again.

Slice Of Paradise

From the moment I pulled up to gated community I knew it was going to be nice but once we got in the home and started the bedroom picking process I knew this house was the right pick. Right after unpacking we took the short walk to the bay that we could see it from the front deck, but that wasn't enough we needed to see more and the view from the steps leading to the beach was beautiful, it will not disappoint. The house was very clean and in good order,  tastefully decorated in the beach theme. The community is picture perfect, I loved the all the different color combinations, it didn't looked like they used the same color combination twice, but all together they blended perfectly. This community was located right outside the edge of this well taken careful town, if you like a good walk it's doable, but I would recommend renting a golf cart from CC Rider. Smitty made it fast and easy, and he shared some in-site on the town and places to see and eat at. We got to do a few day trips to the local attractions like Virginia Beach & the Battleship Wisconsin, and than back to a relaxing place to slow down the day. There is also many things to do around this house and Cape Charles, 3 pools, miles of beach, shops, places to eat, and my favorite people watching and golf cart riding, you can take them anywhere in town you wanted as long as the speed limit was 25 or less. This place makes it on the top 5 of my favorite vacations.  Jim B

Family Vacay

My family had a great time, the location is unbeatable. Swimming, floating, biking, paddle boarding, frisbee in the back yard and tennis. Day trip to Assateague Island for boogie boarding. All so much fun. The layout of the house suited the size of my family of eight. Enough parking for all vehicles and the golf cart rental made it easy to get back and forth to the town of Cape Charles. We were comfortably able to eat out and social distance. We went to the brewery, the distillery, and a cider stop as well. There is ice cream, bakery's and a candy shop. We were never looking for something to do. Great family get away.

Family fun in a wonderful town

The house had a great layout and accommodated our needs. There was plenty of room for everyone and we especially loved the kitchen. It was great during meal time as we weren’t on top of one another. We loved having coffee on the deck each morning and walking the beach at night. We put our boat at the marina which was great and convenient for our stay. We already plan to go back next year and hope to stay here again.
