About the home
“Island Paradise” is a delightful single-storey family home with lagoon-style swimming pool, just a short drive or comfortable walk from the Cape Woolamai surf and safe swimming beaches as well as the supermarket, restaurants & cafés of Cape Woolamai. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
A large bank of stacker doors opens up to the enormous open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 50" HiSense smart TV, bluetooth sound bar & speaker). Bedroom 1 features a BIR and a dual access ensuite (with shower & toilet) - also accessible from the deck area. Also accessed off the Living Room are Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 (all with BIR) plus another large Bathroom (with shower, toilet and a fully equipped European Laundry with washing machine & clothes dryer).
Outdoor Areas
The Living Room stacker doors open and the space flows seamlessly to the centrepiece of the yard - the private stunning lagoon-style swimming pool (approximately 3m x 6m, up to 1.8m deep). Opposite to the home, is a covered outdoor area (with coonara-style fireplace, gas BBQ, some outdoor couches, tables & chairs for 10 people, a drinks fridge and a 40" smart TV) that overlooks the pool area and is adjacent to the two fantastic Games Rooms (featuring four beanbags, some chairs, a Foosball table, a 40" smart TV and a selection of card & board games). There is an outdoor hot & cold water shower and toilet next to the pool area.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Breville bean coffee machine, air fryer, rice cooker, 4-slice sandwich press, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, large French double door fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and 6-point induction cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the Kitchen/Dining/Living room, plus four additional stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required. There is a coonara-style wood heater in the covered outdoor area (no wood provided).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 12 beds accommodating up to 15 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed and One set of Single bunks
Bedroom 3: Two sets of Single bunks and one Single Trundle bed
Bedroom 4: One Queen bed and one set of Single bunks
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
