“We frequently stay at B&Bs and this property outshone all the others. The bathrooms were all modern and very clean, comfy bed, great lighting in the rooms. The breakfast might have been the best part, however, and every day was delicious, filling, and pretty presentation. The inn provides lots of water and soft drink choices, as well as coffees and teas (all self-serve). Fresh-baked cookies every night, and self-serve wine, too! Dawn and Bruce are the consummate hosts and know more about...
“This appears to be a relatively new hotel. While the rooms are small ("Micro"), everything is high quality and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and staff are helpful and friendly.

“We absolutely loved our stay at the Thornwald Mansion. It is nicely secluded in a park yet you are within walking distance to Dickinson College and a shopping center. The property has outstanding amenities and the food selections at breakfast were delicious. The service exceeded our expectations. The room and the bed were comfortable and very quiet.
This mansion went under fire and then was rebuilt by the current owner from the ground up paying attention to detail and preserving its history.

“Fine bnb. Large room with own bath. Little road noise outside , but not too bad. Choice of two very good home made quiches for breakfast plus fruit, yogurt, & pastries. Will stay again.”

“Allenberry brought the cozy, local, family style living to this resort. We enjoyed everything, esp. the fly fishing. What a find. Activities are in abundance and sometimes unique, like the Playhouse. We missed the spa but liked the sauna, hot tub, pickleball, fire pits, dining, and more. This was a fishing weekend, but next time, we will be sure to watch the availablity of special activities and plan our trip accordingly. Very relaxing spot with easy to talk to staff. We loved it. ”
