Great hotel but terrible service
We loved the hotel, but the service was very poor. I can give a few examples from some of all the mishaps during our stay. During one breakfast I wanted to sit in the shade, so I asked one of the waiters for help in moving the parasol. The response I got was "madam it is very heavy". The waiter then watched me and my husband move it by ourselves without offering to help. The day after I was carrying two plates from the breakfast buffé to my table and one of the waiters asked me if they could help me. The waiter then took one of the plates and put it down on a table next to him and left. I waited a while outside for the waiter to come out to the patio with my plate but then had to go in again and get it myself. During one lunch we wanted to split the bill between us like we'd done the day before, but the waiter said that it was not possible. When we told him that it had in fact been possible the day before he responded that it was better for him if we did not split it. We could not believe what we were hearing. On top of it all, this was after one in our party had to wait an additional 45 minutes than the rest for his lunch to arrive because the waiter had mixed up the order. When we checked out they said see you again soon - trust me when I say that we will never come back to this hotel. For this price, I would have expected much better service.
