“Uncomfortable bed. Could feel metal wires & they did not give us any linen sheet to sleep with? We were given a thin polyester “quilt” that was not warm at all. I assume this was some type of mistake as the other reviews didn’t mention anything about bad beds. Room was clean, location is good and staff are nice, i just wished they had better sleeping arrangements for a hotel.”

“The Ireland Hotel is a nice family run hotel. Corner Rooms are bright (there is also internal rooms without windows) and the hotel is generally clean. A few small issues with bulbs not working and TV not working but that is very minor. It’s close to the main “drag” but noise was not an issue. Cat Ba is unfortunately undergoing a lot of construction and modernisation so it’s best to rent a scooter and venture out of town. ”

“The bay is amazing and our room in the 15th floor gave us a stunning view over it. Our three balconies with gardens were beautiful, the room very spacious and clean. A la carte restaurant in building 1 was very good and a quiet place to enjoy excellent food. ”

“Comfortable hotel near Cat Ba town, with good views of the bay, and out of sight of the building work in town. We had a one night stay before a boat trip on Lan Ha and Halong Bays. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, effective Aircon, and comfortable bed, although slightly limited choice of nearby restaurants.”

“First of all the staff and breakfast were amazing. The hiking trip organised by the hotel was awesome. The location is really good. The downsides there were lots of bugs in my room. I killed them all and i thought that was the end of it then on the last day upon checking out there was a huge cockroach on the floor, i presume their mother. The water pressure for the hot water didnt seem to exist at times and you had to run it for a while to make it work. ”

“The hotel is beautiful although the breakfast was really bad and the coffee pretty awful (instant coffee). We didn't even eat dinner there due to how bad the breakfast was. The staff were really nice and talkative though but only two of the lobby guys could speak decent English. “Amazing host. Can't give my compliments enough to Dat. He cared for each of us like we were a member of his family and I can say to any traveller you will always be in safe hands. He knows all the best spots to go and has access to some of the best restaurants on the island. On top of this the hotel was modern, clean and the restaurants food was incredible. I literally can't think of a single issue with Seoul 2.”

It was very clean so we was very surpriced when we found a small bug living in the wall by the window at the breakfast. Otherwise it was a hreat stay. Restaurant in the hotel had so good food. Overall a fantastic stay. If i come back i will book this hotel and hope i get a toom with view over the bay. We had view over half the bay now. ”

Beautiful, comfortable hotel in a good location

Very friendly staff, excellent room (with a beautiful bathroom), very good breakfast and a nice skybar. Beds were very comfy (but pillows were HUGE). Our room at floor 7 had no seaview (construction site view) but instead a view over the street and rooftops. Across the street a new house was being built in a narrow slot and it was actually quite fascinating to study the progress. The hotel staff booked us scooters and gave helpful tips on where to go. "

"Very very very nice hotel for this price!!!! We stayed at 4hotels this trip and all three of us agreed that this was the very best most cosy we Had and 2other hotel was 5star. Rooms very simple and poor but ok! Pool very nice , Area around hotel view to mountain djungle feeling veeeery nice!!!!! Staff superkind. Good food! Good cleaning. We definetily recommend and supergood price!!!!!"

Great place to stay.

"Great hotel and great location. A lot of cleaning up both at hotel (skybar and pool) and outside after typhon. It was very clean so we was very surpriced when we found a small bug living in the wall by the window at the breakfast. Otherwise it was a hreat stay. Restaurant in the hotel had so good food. Overall a fantastic stay. If i come back i will book this hotel and hope i get a toom with view over the bay. We had view over half the bay now. "
