“The Florance was a great place to stay from every perspective. Room was excellent well fitted out and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The location is great over the road from the Botanical Gardens and on the edge of the city. If you are an AFL fan down for the footy (as I was) the location is only a 10-15 minute stroll to the ground. Pub over the road was good for a meal. Will definitely return.”

“The room was very clean and had all we needed. The only thing missing was robes, but that’s not a deal breaker. Beautiful bathroom 😍 Bed was comfortable. The only downsides - minor - was that the room was cold when we entered. It would have been a nice touch for the room to be warm. Also, the hallway was very cold. Never had this at a hotel before. Staff were excellent and the Bluestonw Kitchen had beautiful food 😍”

We always find the accommodations at big4’s to represent exceptional value for money, and this one exceeded our expectations still.”

“We loved this historic property. It still had all the comforts of a modern facility. The heated blanket was a big hit. The receptionist/manager was very welcoming and helpful with information about Tasmania. It was very clean.”

“Rooms were clean and spacious with comfy bed Old building but still very nice Dark rooms if you want to catch up on some sleep”

“Room was a good size, and we were able to park right out the front. Breakfast was lovely, big selection of cereals, yogurt and breads available. Was lovely to have the electric fire going in the room. Clear instructions received on how to use the digital key pad at the front door, and the location of our room. Located close to the CBD. Would happily stay again if visiting Launceston.”

“Excellent location. Was a little uncertain when we arrived but the room was comfortable and well presented. The reason this stay is four stars and not five is because there was an issue with water to the building in the early morning, resulting in no running water first up. The staff were very prompt with answering the phone and trying to resolve the issue.”
