As Always...
A wonderful time. Steaks on the Weber, watching a redtail hawk divebombed by starlings, and enjoying goose politics (two couples, one of them interspecies) on the opposite shore. Avian drama in a peaceful and beautiful place.... as always. 😊

Wedding weekend
In town for a wedding. Arrived early for extra time to explore. Enjoyed two good meals in town. Shopped at Pacific Island Garrdens which is owned by an old high school friend! Took the ferry, went to the Oregon coast and explored Astoria for the umpteenth time. A great stay with great accommodations. Thanks Michael

Father/Daughter Trip
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Lodge is a terrific place to come "home" to each day from kayaking and sightseeing. A washer/dryer would have been nice, but otherwise, the place had what we needed and was very comfortable for two people. Michael was very accommodating.

Clean comfy and calm
A very peaceful location with all the comforts of home. Beautifully laid out suite, appreciated all the windows and the nice well equipped kitchen area, great coffee! It was so nicely cleaned and well kempt! Perfect little get away. Make sure you check out the near by beach.

2 teenagers and dad , the 3 amigos!
Presents well, very easy access to property with parking for large car or truck. Stairs to second floor. We spent 3 nights here, ages 43, 15 and almost 13. 1 big bed, one fold out bed, 2 big couches and plenty of room for an air mattress is you were so inclined. Full bath, BBQ on deck, and all the basic kitchen stuff. Was very clean, very cosey, in my mind a great place to stay and a bargain! We would definitely come back again 👍

Great place to stay on the Lower Columbia River
We had a fantastic time. Location is close enough to do fun things in Astoria for the day, but also enjoyed the peace and quite of Puget Island. Place was very clean and owner is super friendly and gave us great suggestions on things to do in the area. Hope to stay here again soon.

The property is very simple, calm and cleanly. Michael, the owner, was very communicative, flexible and overall an amazing host. He made our stay very pleasant. When we accidentally left an item, he was kind enough to mail it to us. I would love to stay here again in the future.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway
We were looking for a relaxing place to spend the weekend. This fit the bill. Watching the sky on the little deck in the evening was quite nice. We had a nice drive to North Head Lighthouse and then Astoria. The food at the Astoria Brewing Company was outstanding.

Great paddling get-away
The Lodge was comfortable, spacious, and well situated for trips in our canoe and a visit to Astoria, OR. The evening breezes were welcoming, and the peaceful views of the sunset from the deck overlooking Welcome Slough were just what we were looking for with our get-away.

My husband and I absolutely loved staying here while visiting some friends in the area. It was a beautiful, quiet location and the Lodge was clean and comfortable. We will definitely plan to stay here again in the future.

Salmon & Steelhead trip
Great place to stay. Beautiful view of the slough and a place to moore a boat just steps from the lodge. Just 10 minutes to Cathlamet for groceries and restaurants. Michael the owner & Kendall made sure are check in was pleasant and informative. Great stay!!

Third getaway
We enjoyed our third stay at this quiet and peaceful location, walking on the island, enjoying the town of Cathlamet, and talking with friendly residents on our walks. The apartment is spacious and the second-story view of Welcome Slough and the hills beyond is beautiful. Lots of bird-watching from the balcony makes this place a real treat. On this most recent time we had a minor issue with the cleanliness of the kitchen, and addressed Michael after our stay. He responded with an apology and the added assurance that an inspection of washed and put-away glasses and utensils would become part of the cleaner’s protocol.

Marky, Thank you again for pointing this out. I pointed it out to the cleaning service. We have never had to check dishes or glasses that were put away in the cupboard before but from now on they will be inspected! You can count on it! Always with kind regards, Michael

Another Perfect Weekend!
This was my second stay at The Lodge on Puget Island. The property is maintained in very good condition and the host, Michael, is very prompt, friendly and helpful. The Lodge is well-supplied with everything needed for a comfortable stay and provides all basic cooking essentials. During the times I have been there, I have enjoyed exceptional peace and quiet (besides one ship's foghorn in the middle of the night)! The property's location on the second floor allows for nice views of Welcome Slough and the surrounding territory. The island is perfect for strolling, wildlife (and farm animal) viewing, cycling and general relaxation. Island residents are very friendly and every driver that passes by waves and drives slowly around walkers and cyclers.

A Perfect Retreat
The Lodge on Puget Island was such a wonderful place for me to get away for an Autumn weekend, relax and work on some writing. The spacious studio is very clean, comfortable, bright (even on stormy days) and stocked with everything one would need to enjoy their stay. It was just a perfect retreat for me! The owner/host, Michael, communicated very well leading up to my arrival, provided a very nice greeting, thorough instructions and helpful information. He advised me on the neighboring RV rentals and the accommodations available to them below and there was absolutely no concern with them whatsoever. Puget Island is a very peaceful place to visit. One can enjoy pleasant walks around the beautiful countryside, practically "wade" through the abundant Columbia Whitetail Deer browsing just about everywhere, watch the various birds and waterfowl along the slough, marvel at ships navigating the river channel and just soak up the serenity of laid back island life for awhile. Admittedly, my stay was in a very quiet time of year--still, I would expect every season to offer opportunities for a great experience here.

Spacious attractive studio with nice deck. Very well equipped with better than average utensils, etc. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Great area for biking, hiking, kayaking etc. Great value.
