Nestled just steps away from the heart of Main Street, the Catskill Cottage beckons you to experience the charm of Upstate living like a true local. This inviting retreat boasts rustic exposed brick walls, a sleek industrial-style kitchen, and a modern bathroom.
As you step outside, you'll find convenience and adventure at your fingertips. Vibrant local shops, delectable cuisine at nearby restaurants, an the tranquil of the river are all just a short walk away.
The Catskill Cottage's main level showcases an inviting industrial-style kitchen, complete with modern amenities such as a Nespresso coffee machine and stainless steel appliances. This culinary haven seamlessly opens up to a cozy living area, featuring a comfortable couch and a generously sized television. The open-concept design gracefully flows into a charming dining area, ready to seat up to four guests comfortably. The main floor also hosts a stylishly appointed bathroom, featuring a refreshing shower and the added convenience of a full washer and dryer.
As you ascend the industrial-style stairs to the upper level, you'll find the spacious living area, complete with a plush queen-size bed offering serene views of the nearby river. The cottage boasts not one, but two outdoor decks that overlook the picturesque river, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation and enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Guests have private access to the entire cottage.

We're lucky to call downtown Catskill our neighborhood. Local shops, delectable restaurants, bars and the river are just steps away from our front door.
There is one dedicated parking spot for the cottage. Getting around Upstate NY generally requires a vehicle. But once you're at the cottage, all that you need is within walking distance.

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT
THE PARTIES HERETO, IN CONSIDERATION OF THESE PRESENTS, AGREE THAT: 1. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: GUEST must accurately disclose occupancy including the number of adults, children and animals that will occupy said rented premises in the booking data provided through the online platform. That determines the maximum occupancy at all times and applies to day visitors and children as well. Unless otherwise approved by your HOST, occupancy over the indicated capacity may result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of amounts paid. 2. NO SMOKING or Vaping or illegal drugs of any kind will take place in or on the premises. Violation of this will result in a $500 charge. Vaping or smoking outside with windows and doors closed is accepted. GUEST is liable for the full cost to remove any odor from the home in the case that it exceeds the above charge. 3. NO ANIMALS of any description will be kept in or on premises without prior approval by HOST. * Animal Addendum is required with this contract for approval of pets, emotional support or service animals. 4. DAMAGE POLICY & INSURANCE– Guests must select either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver. The refundable security deposit will be held for 7 days post check-out and will be refunded provided there are no damages. The damage waiver is recommended. There will be no charges in the case that there is no: A) damage to property, its contents or furnishings, B) dirt, trash or other mess requiring excessive cleaning C) There is no negligent damage due to inclement weather. It is GUEST’S responsibility to secure items on premises in the case of inclement weather or outside conditions such as outdoor umbrellas, or any other item that may blow away or be damaged by high winds, or other inclement weather. D) any other costs incurred by your Host because of your stay. Any damage to the Vacation Rental or its contents must be reported before check-out. E) GUEST is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement. F) No linens are lost, stained, or damaged. G) The unit is left locked and secured when unoccupied. To ensure that the proper party is held responsible GUEST must inform management within 24 hours of arrival of any pre-existing damage or issues or may be held responsible for any cost involved in repair to be taken from the security deposit. Damage not covered by, or exceeding the coverage limit of, the accidental rental damage insurance, Security Deposit, or booking platform coverage, is your full responsibility. In the case that an insurance claim must be file with homeowner's insurance, the guest is liable to pay the deductible. You grant your HOST the right to be reimbursed via the booking platform or your credit card for any such damages, including, but not limited to, additional cleaning fees. If the booking platform refuses reimbursement, HOST has the right to pursue reimbursement by reasonable means including small claims court and/or police report. HOST does not make a habit of filing claims or requiring reimbursement for small expenses under $50. 5. CLEANLINESS– You are expected to treat the entire premises with respect, keeping in mind that this is an individual’s home and you are a house guest. Even if a cleaning fee was charged, you are expected to leave the premises in a clean, neat and orderly condition to allow our cleaners to provide a thorough clean in the very short window between guests. Management must be notified within 24 hours of arrival if unhappy with conditions upon arrival. 6. NOISE & QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are between 10pm and 9am. At all times GUEST must keep noise levels to a minimum as to not disturb the peace and quiet of surrounding neighbors. Noise exceeding local ordinances or causing a neighbor complaint will be grounds for immediate eviction without possibility of a refund. 7. PARKING – Maximum number of cars GUEST’s party may bring is displayed on the listing, as well as allowed parking areas. 8. LOCK OUT – (For keyless entries) This home is on a keyless entry and your code is active for the duration of your booking. (For both keyless and keyed entries) In the case that the GUESTS lock themselves out of the house and a key is provided, if keys are lost or not returned, the charge is [$150]. We recommend that you always use the keyless entry, and if backup access 9. LINENS & SUPPLIES: For details on what is supplied, please refer to the listing at the time of booking. Please do not refer to reviews for this information, as it may not be current or accurate. The GUEST is responsible to inform all individuals in their party to use only septic safe tissue, and no other items will be flushed in the toilet even if it says "flushable". Any damage caused by GUEST to the septic or plumbing system will be the full responsibility of the GUEST. Such damages are often hazmat cleanups and are VERY expensive. These terms are subject to change at the HOST’S discretion. 10. REPORTING OF DISSATISFACTION OR NOT AS ADVERTISED: GUEST agrees to report any issues of dissatisfaction to HOST immediately but no later than 24 hours after discovery. GUEST will cooperate with HOST and allow HOST’s team members to come to the property to verify the issue and remedy before making any reports to the booking platform of dissatisfaction. If GUEST declines this, any possibility of a refund will be forfeited. NOTE: Photos are taken of the premises after each cleaning and prior to GUEST check in. These date and time stamped images will be used against claims brought by GUEST as well as the findings of HOST’S agents. Any claims made by GUEST that are fraudulent or outrageous in nature or meant to mislead or defraud the HOST, credit card company or payment processor in exchange for a refund or threat of a bad review will be immediate grounds for removal from the premises with no refund and GUEST’S account being reported to the booking platform for removal and is liable for all financial or other damages to HOST. If the GUEST reports a false issue or complaint where a technician is called in without any findings of the reported issue, the GUEST will be responsible for covering the entire cost of the technician's invoice. FOR RURAL AREAS: The home has monthly external pest treatments, and due to the rural nature, it is normal to find some bugs inside the house.

David was a welcoming and responsive host from the time I booked till I checked out. There was a minor issue with the heating system, and he was patient and helped me fix it quickly, never making me feel like I was pestering him. The space was perfect for my 3 night stay as a jumping off point for further excursions, as well as easy meals and explorations in town. The location couldn't be better. It was peaceful even though it's in the heart of town. I felt welcomed, comfortable, and the whole vacation was easy and breezy...just what I wanted and needed. I highly recommend David's cozy cottage and would love to stay again.

We had a great stay!!! Property is just as described, clean and modern but comfortable and with all you need. Quiet at night, but seconds walk up to Main Street businesses and right next door to a cool cidery/bar with locally made ciders. Above all the host was super friendly and communicative and check-in etc. was a breeze. Would definitely stay again!

A taste of Spring in the Catskills
This apartment was exactly as shown, bright modern but cozy and the bed, pillows and blankets were very comfortable. Check in was very easy and 2 feet from the parking space. Willas, the coffee shop is right down the block and the food was yummy and they have gluten free choices but get there early. The catskill downtown is adorable and 2 min walk from the apartment as well. Creekside restaurant was a disappointment but Hemlock Bar had the best smash burger and cocktails ever and it is walking distance. Hudson NY was awesome too where there are many choices for great meals especially BabaLouies thin crust pizza soups and salad and the downtown is darling. Lastly we hiked to Kaaertskill falls which was still a sheet of ice in many spots but is mostly flat and the view was worth the fear of breaking a hip at our age lol. Thank you David for a wonderful stay.

We had an exceptional time at this property. You are right in the middle if a very quiet town of Catskill in the Hudson valley. Gas fireplace was very quick at heating up the entire house and the full kitchen has everything you need to make an amazing meal (if you buy the ingredients from nearby farm markets or stores)Will definitely be staying here qgain

Really nice place!
Overall a very positive experience in this cozy nook tucked away off Main Street. David, the host, is very responsive. The place was spotless on arrival, and the location is convenient for exploring Main St. on foot or for getting in and out by car. A tip for winter guests: If, like us, you stay during a cold snap, don't crank the thermostat up. The heat goes right up the open stairwell so the loft will be hot by the time you go to bed. We found it better to set the thermostat low (60-62F) and use the gas fireplace to keep the downstairs comfortable without overheating the loft.

Very nice place. It looks exactly like in the pictures and is well-equipped. When I booked it, I didn't quite focus on the fact that the view is of a parking lot, but past that, there is the water! Host is very responsive.

Autumn in New York
We had an absolutely delightful weekend in Catskill and it all started with this wonderful property. The accommodations were terrific - modern, clean, spacious, yet cozy. And, the location could not have better - literally steps to main street and the creek. Last, but certainly not least, working with David was seamless - taking the stress out of traveling to a new area. We highly recommend the Catskill Cottage!!!!

Lovely Modern Cottage
We found the cottage to be perfect for our needs, and were especially impressed by the carpeting that is strapped to the stairs. We found that to be a clever way to make an open staircase comfortable and secure underfoot. Oh, and the stove is spectacular!

Great place. Look forward to returning.
Smallish space (as advertised) but felt spacious for the two of us because it is very well designed in terms of layout and fixtures. Dining area looks out toward the creek which is nice. Contemporary somewhat minimalist uncluttered design and furnishings which we really enjoyed. Well equipped. We had an issue getting in (otherwise review would be all 5’s) but they responded immediately and resolved it within minutes so no problem there. Right off Main Street so short walk to shops cafes and restaurants. 20 min walk to Landing park on the Hudson with nice view of the bridge. Easy access to Hudson over the bridge. We are already talking about returning and would look no further: we hope their place is available when we do! :-)

Beautiful property, great location
We were looking for a place to stay when visiting our son who lives in the Catskill area. The cottage was perfect. It was in a great location in town close to breweries, shops, and restaurants. It was beautifully furnished and very spacious. We definitely plan on staying there again when we visit our son.

This cottage was so perfect! The location was amazing and walkable to all the shops and restaurants. Host was easy to correspond with, and the house had everything we needed. We would love to come back again some day!
