“This is a lodge on the Salmon River. You would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful spot, anywhere. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with very comfortable beds. Very quiet, except for the sound of the bubbling river right outside the back door. They have Starlink internet which is more than adequate for streaming TV if you like (seriously, do you want to watch tv with scenery like this, but I digress). “The first room we had was horrible. It smelled and seemed unfinished with the tub caulking showing and the tv not working. The staff were helpful in letting us switch rooms. The other room didn’t have towels, so we had to bring them from the stinky room. The second room was better, but the a/c was very loud and there was loud, thumping music playing in the middle of the night and someone smoking pot right by the office door and the no smoking sign. Do not recommend.”

“In a town where the Holiday Inn across the street is $300 a night, this is a great deal. Ontario is a stopover and not a destination. The town has a literal funk to the air. This is a clean room where you can get some sleep before the next long day of driving. It's not fancy but it's functional. The pillows are very flat. AC works great. We didn't use it but the outdoor pool looked very clean and well maintained. I can't say as much for the Holiday Inn. You can easily walk to the...
