“We had a change of plans for our road trip and found this delightful B and B at the last minute. We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages. “The place is really simple, but it was comfortable, quiet, and I had everything I needed. The floors could have been swept a little more, and maybe an ice machine would have been helpful. I was there 3 days and didn't see an employee once; however, they had everything covered up front, and I really didn't need anyone! Amazing! I would stay here again!”

“A very clean, comfy, well-provisioned room at a great price. The highlight was a different superb gourmet breakfast each day prepared from scratch by Helene and her husband. There was also a homemade takeaway on each of the two days we were there - chocolate chunk brownies and buttery shortbread. The overall atmosphere and ambiance was very calming and positive. Definitely coming back!”
