“The room was small and spotless. Staff wonderful. Liz made our check in experience lovely. Grounds are gorgeous and plenty of conversation spots indoors and outdoors which were way better than a chair in our room. Delicious breakfast too. This was our 36th day on the road so breakfast variety scored points . Mixed fruit baked French toast concoction (apple, strawberry and blueberry) and a fluffy egg and cheese bake that was real egg!”

“This was such a beautiful and historic, but comfortable and modern, location. The staff were so friendly, the bed and pillows comfortable, and the views over the lake were just lovely. My only critique would be that I would appreciate if they had dairy alternatives for breakfast, such as oat milk for the coffee and cereal.”

“Customer service by Elisha was excellent! Before arrival, she sent me an email to check on my status as I was unreachable on my non-US number and needed to confirm on my reservation. The place is so tranquil; upon arrival, I immediately extended for another night, knowing that I would enjoy the peace and quiet. There were a few guests around, and we all had our own spaces - I went on my runs around the compound while others had their activities. The kitchen was self sufficient - I could cook...

“We loved the welcome we received upon checking in. In addition, we liked the property enough to ask if they would have a room available for the next night, too. Though it was Cranberry Festival days with huge numbers of people arriving, they had one room available for us. The setting is superb, with the Eagle River Chain of lakes the setting. Peaceful, natural location. Highly recommend.”

“Canyon Lake Resort is rather old, but well taken care of. Clean and comfortable I've visited quite a few dodgy hotels around the US where ones have let the interiors deteriorate, this was certainly not the case here even though some of the furniture could do with an upgrade. The rice was rather steep for our visit, in July 2018, but other hotels in the area were even more expensive.”
