It was very comfortable for our long weekend. Plenty of cookware. The house is on a nice quiet street. It was very convenient to the Sports Complex and restaurants. Oh...and an ice maker is a definite plus, for me anyway! Kim was very responsive and made check in and out easy! We will definitely stay again next time we're in Matthews, NC.

My family and I spent a few nights here while exploring the Charlotte area. The house was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet, but was within walking distance to downtown Matthews, which was such a cute vibrant little town. We would recommend this house and would certainly stay there again.

While I had high hopes for staying near my family for Christmas, I was happy when I searched with a filter, 1-guest traveling with 1- pet found me this VRBO house. I was not happy with the filthy interior, not fresh painted walls, not new flooring, not new linens, or cleanliness at all. Spiders and cob-webs in every room, floors taped with packing tape, dresser drawers taped together with packing tape, dirty furniture to sit on. The yard is full of limbs and a foot of leaves. Not safe for dogs.

My wife and I had an exceptional time at this lovely property!The house is delightful. Clean as a whistle, well maintained, and exceedingly comfortable. The decor makes you feel like you're staying in a groovy retro oasis. Of particular note are the beds. We debated whether they were more comfortable than ours back home!Matthews itself was a wonderful surprise, too! Don't discount the food and drinks the town has to offer just because Charlotte is nearby. Brakeman's Coffee in particular is worth a visit or three.Thanks to Kim for being professional, purposeful, and thorough through our entire stay. We would be ecstatic to stay here again if and when we return to the Charlotte area!

Comfortable and clean

Nice place to stay while visiting family. House is comfortable with plenty of sleeping space. Our 2 pets were welcomed and we received pet deposit back with no problems. (Deposit returned if no pet stains/mess)

Great place and location

This is a well-presented house and the location is great. I was able to walk into Mathews for food and coffee. The host was very responsive to last-minute needs. The place was clean and well-equipped, except missing a spatula for the frying pan, which the host had sent several over right away. This is a somewhat quirky house, as many of these are, with ample closets in one room but not in the master bedroom, but we enjoyed cooking and dining with family. I recommend this place.

We loved this location. The neighborhood is lovely. I enjoied the rental, it was somewhat secluded & had a great split floorplan & little patio. The owners were very gracious & helpful.I'll definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay in this sweet house and walking to downtown. Keep an eye on your VRBO messages. The host will send messages and updates there. (We had requested a late check out that the host initially informed us was not available, but later messaged to update us that it was possible after all :))

A relaxing visit in the quaint town of Mathews.

Loved the convenience of being within walking distance to everything and our pets also enjoyed it! The house is in a great tree covered neighborhood and plenty of things to do and also close enough to the big city.

Wonderful place to stay!

Cozy but also spacious! Owner was very easy to get in touch with (not that we had many questions) neighbors were really friendly and we were super close to Charlotte as well as downtown Matthews. Everything we needed was in the house. Super comfortable stay and the house was really cute!

Cute and close to everything

Adorable cottage in the woods but close to everything. The beds are comfortable, towels are fluffy and check in was a breeze. Matthews Station is 3 minutes away and where we hung out with our friends. Fun restaurants and bars plus a great place for breakfast. Weill stay here again the next time we come into town. Would love to see the farmers market in town next time!

Worst Ever

This is without a doubt the most misrepresented rental I have ever stepped foot in. Nothing like the pictures or the description. Very worn and need of a deep cleaning, some furniture ready to just fall over. Floors in some areas are taped down with clear tape. Screen doorTo master is ready to fall off hinges and screen is completely torn out and just hanging there. Back yard is completely uninhabitable, full of roots and mid. No way to walk a dog out there. The hosts were even worse. When I reached outto tell them I was not staying they hung up on me and would not return my call. They had the audacity to ask me for 1500 deposit that I am waiting to get back. Dont let this place take yourmoney. It is one of the worst.

Great house in Matthews

3 of us stayed here for a weekend and it was great! Very clean and lovely inside. Kim was a great hostess and very responsive. This charming house is a short walk to downtown Matthews which had a lot of cute restaurants and shops.
