We arrived around 10:30 p.m. to find the entry doors locked and had to wait for another guest to exit so we could get in. Once inside, it was very confusing to figure out where to go, as check-in is on the 14th floor.
Check-in itself was smooth—Jada was warm, friendly, and very informative. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We also appreciated the pet relief area on the 8th floor, which was far safer and more convenient than going out onto the street.
The next morning, however, there was no water in our room. When we called the front desk, the clerk was rude and insisted there had been a sign in the lobby and that an email was sent—neither of which was true. Our email was confirmed at check-in, and we thoroughly checked both our inbox and spam folder. We were also told, “You can call corporate, but they’re not going to do anything for you.”
Since the water wasn’t expected to be restored until 2 p.m., we spent the only day we had in Charlotte unable to shower or brush our teeth and ultimately had to drive to a local Planet Fitness to use their showers.
Overall: confusing entry process and very poor customer service.
