Welcome to The Homestead at Sunset Shores Resort, a charming yet spacious retreat that may be smaller in size, but not in comfort or amenities! Sleeping up to 16 guests across five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, The Homestead has been beautifully renovated with fresh blue and white décor, new flooring, and paint throughout. The kitchen features stunning new granite countertops, while the large porch with a grand dining table and ample seating offers the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors.

The main level offers a bright and open-concept living area, combining the kitchen, dining, and porch spaces for easy flow and connection. The living area provides plenty of seating with two large couches and additional poofs, ensuring ample room for everyone to relax and enjoy the view of the TV, whether you’re catching up on a game or a movie. The fully stocked kitchen is the perfect space to prepare meals while staying connected to the group. A bar area in both the kitchen and patio offers seating for six, ideal for socializing. The glass-enclosed patio features a large dining table for 10, surrounded by multiple seating options, all with breathtaking views of the lake and stunning sunsets.

The main level primary suite is designed for accessibility, featuring a walk-in shower and closet, with private access to the sun porch. The room boasts a comfortable king-sized bed with plush new bedding, making it the ultimate retreat for relaxation. This level also offers a second king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom for added privacy and convenience.

Upstairs, you’ll find three cozy bedrooms, each with plush new bedding, as well as two bathrooms. One bedroom features a king bed, while another is a fun bunk room with two twin-over-full bunk beds, both sharing a hall shower. The third bedroom features two queen beds and has its own private staircase leading to the ensuite bathroom.

For added fun, the garage at The Homestead has been transformed into a kids' paradise! Equipped with air hockey, ping pong, and an arcade game, the garage provides endless entertainment for all ages. An extra fridge has also been added for convenience, ensuring plenty of storage for drinks and snacks.

Outdoors, The Homestead does not disappoint. A newly installed hot tub awaits just steps from the fire pit, making it the perfect spot to relax after a day on the lake. Families can enjoy making s’mores lakeside while soaking in the scenery. There is also a private dock with lake toys, including a kayak, a paddleboard, and an assortment of life jackets, all available for your use. Additionally, guests have access to the shared spaces of Sunset Shores – The Grand House, including the boardwalk, beach area, and boat launch, ensuring plenty of options for outdoor fun and adventure.

- Due to natural fluctuations, we’re unable to provide specific water depth information at any given time. The majority of docks in this area are generally suitable for most average-sized pontoons and ski boats. However, since boat drafts can vary, guests are encouraged to refer to Lake Norman nautical charts, GPS systems, and depth maps—and rely on their own knowledge of their vessel’s specifications—to ensure safe navigation.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit.
