“My wife and 4 kids, aged 7-16, stayed for nights. PROS: We loved the location, easy to get to Marquette and other sites. Kids loved the table games. Kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of utensils dishes, etc and things, like a soft-sided cooler we could bring along for picnic lunches at waterfalls. CONS: honestly not much, There are some little things that could be improved, we used the pool table a lot, and while we loved it, it was wobbly. A little more comfy seating in the main...

“The location is just out of the main strip of munising. It’s a little too far to walk to town, but there was plenty of parking in town so this wasn’t a problem for us. The property was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay there!”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Liberty Cabin! The kids loved the bunk beds in each room and it was nice clean place to stay. We took advantage of the kayak company across the street as we kayaked down the Au Train river. I would definitely recommend staying at Liberty Cabin. ”

“This was a lovely getaway with a “middle of the woods” feel. Julie was so kind and accommodating to our request to add on an extra day. The check in process was easy and Julie’s home is nearby, so there is a strong sense of safety. She has thought of everything so the house felt well stocked and ready for guests. “Room was very nice, well maintained & decorated. Beds were firmer than we're used to but ours at home is pretty soft. Location is in a quiet neighborhood away from the waterfront. Would stay there again.”

“We loved the central location. The property was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The kayaks provided were a nice perk. If you use them, just beware that you need to carry them to an access point. It is almost impossible to carry them down the hill. We had an issue when we used the numbered key pad to lock the door. We could not get back in using the security code and notified the property owners who responded very quickly to our problem. The beds were very comfortable and the shower,...

“This cottage was great for our family. It is located right on the river bank in a quiet area. The living room and kitchen were roomy, and the bedrooms plenty big.It was clean and well stocked with kitchen ware, and paper products.The outside area was great for sitting as a group, having an evening around the fire pit, or sticking your feet in the river. We had paddle boarders and swimmers with us that took advantage of being riverside. Nobody brought a fishing pole, so I don’t know about fishing...

“Everything about this stay was wonderful. Our whole family was able to be together under one roof and there was plenty of space for all of us. Au Train beach was fun, only a short walk. The property owner/manager were wonderful and super kind & helpful.Would definitely stay again if in the area. ”

“Photos don't do justice to how cool this place is. Perfect spot on a beautiful little lake, with kayaks waiting to explore. Check-in was easy, just keep driving past the dead-end sign! Amie was extremely communicative and helpful. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and there was plenty of room for four adults and two young kids. Beautiful drive through the forest to get to Munising for groceries, restaurants etc. Highly recommend staying here!”

“We had a terrific stay at Anna’s Place. It was clean and comfy. Would totally stay there again. The city was repairing the road so the trip into Munising was blocked which made the drive into town 8-9 minutes longer. There is a small stream next to the house and across the road a place to take a short walk to Lake Superior. Some in our group walked there to bird watch and star gaze at night.”

“Check-in was smooth and accurate according to instructions. The photos of the property are spot on. It was clean, comfortable, and up to date. The view and tranquility of the property are perfect. It's a very remote location, and the quiet makes this property a true getaway. We used the charcoal grill, kayaks, and the fire pit. We visited Pictured Rocks and Marquette during our stay. Both locations are a bit of a drive from the property, but the remote quiet was what we were searching for,...

“This place was great! We were up in that area for a long weekend to check out Waterfalls. It was 15 min drive to Pictured Rocks. Was in a private area and was very well kept up. The mosquitos were intense when we first got there guessing because l you are right off of the au train river. However, we had brought thermacells so we were able to enjoy the hot tub and the deck area. Highly recommend. ”

“This was our first trip to the UP and with 3 kids and a large dog, we don’t travel light. I was a little worried not having a big discount store nearby but all that stress melted away when we arrived and all the little things were already waiting for us- from soap to dog dishes to marshmallows to extra TP, the house was fully stocked. The property has a large completely private yard with plenty of room for running and sitting on the deck or by the fire feels like your own private oasis. It’s...
