“What a treasure, next to the Menil Collection Museum! Hyatt runs a hotel but Tte museum actually purchased the land and built this hotel which looks more like an apartment complex. The Landscaping is absolutely beautiful. All the stuff are extremely helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and spacious. I live in the Greater Houston area but we did decided to stay here for one night and I'm so glad we did. We will definitely be back.”

“This definitely a different experience than your typical hotel--it's a weird old house with antique furniture and gothic turrets. Everything was clean and well maintained though, and the staff was quite friendly. Breakfast was adequate. Essentially it consisted of complimentary access to a well-stocked kitchen. “When I arrived there was no one there--staff or travelers. It's in a slightly creepy part of town. I couldn't figure out how to open the gate for parking, then realized from staff email to me that the clicker to the parking gate was on my bed and I'd find it once I got to my room. But since no one was there when I entered, it just felt creepy and unsafe. So I booked another hotel and didn't sleep at the Wanderstay.
