“The house is quite big with a lovely view of the water inlet. The house is well kitted out with everything you need to do your cooking. Round the corner and down the road there is a big supermarket and some pretty good restaurants. The lady who manages the house was very helpful and friendly. I can truly recommend this property.”

“The views of the Pitons and Soufrière are gorgeous from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed. We enjoyed the open concept house. While important areas are private, it gives an inviting place to spend time with friends or family or lounge in the open area and take in the views. It’s a little tricky to get there due to the nature of the roads. We had a little problem with a standard SUV but a 4x4 should have no problem. Walking distance to Treetop restaurant which was our favorite...

“This property is extremely spacious and nicely private. It is a very short drive to Soufrière shops, restaurants and beaches although the access roads are a little rough. The home is well equipped with modern conveniences, plenty of towels, a working TV and some basic toiletries. There is good AC in the bedrooms and dining area. People who manage and work on the farm are amazing, very polite, knowledgable about the property and the surrounding nature. “The Purple cottage was a fantastic stay for our family! We didn’t want some fancy pants resort. We wanted to feel like locals and experience the island for its beauty and cuisine and we got all of that staying here! The door entry was easy and made it functional for our whole family. Yes there were mosquitos, but honestly there are mosquitoes all over the island. Bring bug spray if you’re worried! Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa

"Location location location! This resort is about 15 meter from beach, and the beach is really good! I had a room with w view towards the beach and I enjoyed it very much! The resort is within walking distance to the Rodney Bay center with supermarkets and malls. There is also shuttle service two times each hour to, and from, Bay Garden hotel, closer to center of Rodney Bay. The resort is also close to other restaurants in the area. The staff is very VERY friendly and provides service, always with a smile! All these are on the reosrts upside and If I return to St Lucia I will probably stay at the same resort. But there are some things I would like to be improved: The small deli shop needs better opening hours and more selection of, for exemple, medications. There also are only one restaurant and for a all-inclusive resort, there should be more to choose from (even that you are entitled to go to the other Bay gardens hotels restaurants too). The food at this restauran (High tide) is very good, but I would have enjoyed more kinds of food to choose from. BUT overall I liked the resort a lot! "
