“A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided. The bed was lovely and comfortable. People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem. If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. ”

“My sister and I spent just a couple of nights here and truly fell in love with the house and staff. Every interaction was easy and kind, the house was incredibly well kept, and the grounds were gorgeous. It's located a bit out of the way which is perfect for minimizing crowds and noise! Our room was perfectly sized and the bed/bedding comfortable. All in all, a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone in any stage of life.”

Richard is a right bloke, would loved to have stayed up talking to him at the bar but after walking the local fells went to relax in the brilliant room. The hosts put their heart & soul into making everything perfect. We would certainly return. ”

“Excellent location. The decor was lovely throughout the hotel. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Views were great from lounges and dining rooms. Pool although small was a pleasant bonus. ”

“The location is great, just a few minutes to the town centre. The area is quiet so you can take a nice rest after a long hike. The room is very comfy and seems it’s newly renovated.”

“We had a lovely stay at the White Lodge Hotel. The hosts were very accommodating and when we had a few parking issues (due to the car park being quite small) the host offered lifts. In the morning we lost our car keys and the host helped search the streets for them and came to the police station to see if theyd been handed in! He offered for us to stay there as long as we needed while we sorted it. ”

“Receptionist chap. Was v patient. We swapped rooms 2 times and settled on the 3rd. Wish was fantastic. Bar staff were great too. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening but breakfasts were great”
