“Warm comfortable room in lovely hotel that is walking distance from lake. House was where Beatrix Potter took holidays & she eventually bought it for her mother. Love the whimsical touches such as carpets & wallpaper. Easy private parking included. Stairs to rooms on first & second floors but staff help with luggage if needed. Dinner & breakfast at the hotel restaurant were good.”

“A very appealing hotel.Tastefully traditional. Gardens beautifully laid out;so many private areas to relax in. Range of apartments in modern style too. I had enjoyable stay in Junior Suite. Dining room really attractive with very pleasing views . Always a great relief in Bowness to have a place with great parking!!. MINUS-The cupboard with the clothes rail is no substitute for a proper wardrobe as it is cold and musty.”

“We stayed in the Love Haven which was lovely and we had a lovely stay but have to give a bad review on the basis we went to shower in the morning before check out and noticed water was dripping through one of the lights downstairs. We immediately turned it off due to health and safety. When we reported to reception we were told oh yeah maintenance know about it but it’s a big job.
