“What a wonderful spot in the heart of Camden Maine! It is perfect for a couple or small family. Beautiful decor and comfortable mattress. The owner is extremely dog friendly, as is the neighborhood, with an amazing no-leash beach in a beautiful spot on the bay (great place to watch the sunrise) a short walk from the cottage. We want to come back!”

“I had an excellent visit. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and small appliances. Everything was super clean; magazines and books were available (as well as good WiFi). I never turned the tv on as the view was spectacular. I wasn’t able to have an outdoor fire due to weather but everything was great. I hope to return. “We enjoyed our stay here. Cottage was clean and well appointed. Loved the front porch. It was busy with lobster processing traffic going by but not so much that it was a problem. Two issues that were not good: no wifi. Zip .Zero. No internet service n this day and age is not acceptable. (which we were supposed to have according to the website.) Phoned the number provided. Zero response. V bad in my opinion. Second the fire dept was prepping to burn an abandoned house next door so there were...

“House is clean and comfortable with everything in working order. We lacked for nothing and enjoyed the small touches, such as the in-person welcome from David and the goodies he left for us. We spent time relaxing and taking in the beautiful view, as well as kayaking and light hiking in the area. We'd definitely recommend this property!”

His cousin , Darcy, lives 2 doors down and is readily available should there be any questions or concerns.We enjoyed the lions at night and the stars were mesmerizing along with the fireflies. “My mid-October stay at Little Thumb was everything I hoped for and more: plenty of peace and quiet, an immaculate and comfortable place to stay, and beautiful surroundings in which to birdwatch from the dock, read, and take long walks. I especially enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, comfy queen bed, and big gas heating stove in the living room that kept me toasty, even temps dipped into the 40s. And Natalie certainly deserves her rating as a top host!”

Lovely place overall

"We had a whole cottage with a spa bath and a separate bedroom to ourselves. The bed was comfortable! Besides a few splatters on the wall in the kitchenette area and the bathroom, this place was CLEAN. We loved sitting on the "porch" (had two chairs and a small table) and take in the environment with the beautiful flower beds. Breakfast was lovely (real mugs!) with two exceptions. The hot water for e.g. tea had slight taste of coffee, i.e. the thermoses for hot water only and coffee were not kept separate. Someone thought it was wise to mow the lawn right next to the outside patio where breakfast could be had during breakfast (and the mower was loud!). WiFi in the cottage was rather poor but the management worked on fixing that. Overall a very nice stay."
