4. Spacious 5-bedroom house with WiFi and AC in charming Winston-Salem

“The home is in an excellent area! Close to many restaurants, shops, the interstate, yet in a nice housing area. Very family friendly. I would say for the next person the host not only needs to give the code to check-in but how to lock the door when you leave. I had to go through the company for them to reach them because they did not respond to messages. There were plenty of towels but No washcloths. We paid the cleaning fees but we still had to strip the beds take out all trash and turn...

6. Cozy Winston-Salem Vacation Cabin

“House was comfortable but needs some TLC. Host was excellent at responding and allowing early check in and late checkout (which was much appreciated) Cobwebs, dripping gutters over the door (it rained the entire time and we couldn’t get in without getting wet), and not enough seating or coffee mugs for the number of people were some minor issues. There are no pictures on the walls or curtains to make it homey.”

7. King Beds Hot Tub Arcade Grill & Firepit

Winston-Salem

“This home is nice and in a nice location. We were however confused that it was listed as a whole house with a hot tub, but you have to pay a fee for the hot tub, and in fact there was a whole other rental below us. The charges for an extra guest to visit were a little much also. It wasn't very clean, we found random items stuffed and placed on top of cabinets, light fixtures etc. and a cup under the bed. Lastly, to be asked to sparingly use utilities so they can save on bills is way out of...

“The house was very clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained, which we really appreciated during our stay. However, there were two downsides to be aware of. First, after booking, the owner asked us to pay an extra money for cleaning fee, even though it was not clearly listed in the Expedia booking details. I chose not to argue since I didn’t want to ruin our family trip, but future guests should expect additional charges. Second, privacy was an issue the owner lives in the basement, and it felt...

“We wanted the hot tub the most, it was out of order. The host waited 10 min before check in to let us know. They say you have A/C but no control over it. It was way too hot during the day and way to cold at night. Also at 5 AM the motion lights beside the bedroom came on and lit up the room. That morning, come to find out that someone had been messing with our gas cap. Told the host to check ring camera. No reply. That conversation wasn't even acknowledged. They straight up replied hope you...
