“My family has stayed at nearly every hotel on Jekyll. Our current go-to is Hampton Inn. While it doesn’t have the ocean views other hotels have, I love the tree lined boardwalk. The pool is the best part of the hotel, it is shaded and heated year round. My most recent trip to the Hampton Inn was frustrating and disappointing. The desk is usually helpful and outgoing. This year, it was evident they were stress and under strain. When we visited in the spring, we learned about a new pool towel...

“The property is beautiful and conveniently located close to The beach with easy access. We rented bikes from the hotel and the island bike trail Is right off the property . We spent alot of the time at the pool and there were ample chairs and umbrellas and the foliage around the pool takes the experience to a higher level Chairs are located outside the rooms and we sat outside with coffee in the morning and there was never sun beating down on us”

“This property had the charm of a boutique hotel without sacrificing any comfort in the room. The location was perfect and the property was nicely maintained and all around attractive. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed setting.”

“The standard is motel-like and good enough. Big rooms, incredibly comfy beds and pillows. Shower not the greatest and worn, but it works. Nice big pool! And there’s a small shop with snacks and beverages. ”

“We had a wonderful time at the beautiful, friendly and cosy Grey Owl Inn. Good location if you want a calm place and like to explore the surroundings. We especially recommended this Inn to those who plan to stay for a couple of days - the rooms are very nice, comfortable and well equipped. And don't miss Jekyll Island!”

“This is an outstanding hotel in a great location. The hotel is looks like new and the lobby is very spacious and attractive and the staff was especially helful and welcoming. Great fitness center! The room was among the best I've stayed in recently and I've recently traveled and stayed in San Francisco, Big Sky Montana, Jacksonville, Florida and 3 hotels in Switzerland. The kitchenette was the best! The desk area was large as well as the sitting area with couch. I'll be back!”
