“The standard is motel-like and good enough. Big rooms, incredibly comfy beds and pillows. Shower not the greatest and worn, but it works. Nice big pool! And there’s a small shop with snacks and beverages. ”

“Needs TLC. Front desk didn't give us the breakfast vouchers - we had to go back and ask for them. Breakfast buffet doesn't have the best choices. Roach on ceiling one morning. Rust on the bathtub. Need comfort height toilets in bathrooms. Ladies who cleaned the rooms were fantastic!!!! Only a few hangers in the closet. Beds are comfortable and pillow choices are great. Easy access to beach. Pool with hot tub is nice. Lots of easy walking paths. Rooms are large and very spacious.”

“This hotel was mediocre at best. The tv was facing the left side of the room and could not be turned toward the bed so you could actually see it. When watching from the bed you could not read subtitles because of the angle of the tv in relation to the bed. You could sit on the sofa and watch. The air conditioner was dreadful. It never got below 70 and the room was stuffy. I finally asked for a box fan and they gave it to me. We paid a lot for the room and would have expected more of a luxury...

“Room was clean. Definitely older property. Pets allowed which was great! My door however did not have any interior installation so it was not as secure as I would like and allowed noise and sunlight through it. In room fridge definitely needed to be cleaned better. ”

“Unannounced remodel of the property created a nightmare for guests. No notice from Expedia regarding the condition of the hotel. Full price paid should be returned to me. No housekeeping to add insult to injury!”

“We had a wonderful time at the beautiful, friendly and cosy Grey Owl Inn. Good location if you want a calm place and like to explore the surroundings. We especially recommended this Inn to those who plan to stay for a couple of days - the rooms are very nice, comfortable and well equipped. And don't miss Jekyll Island!”

“This property calls itself a resort. There are no amenities apart from beach chairs. The photos on the web are a scam. There is NO management on the property. I feel totally taken in by false promises ”

“The Kress is a hidden gem…It’s built in a stately old bank building, so it has spacious rooms with high ceilings, and the trim is original pine. Beautiful property. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. Highly recommend!”
