“We loved the ability to be in our own space/apartment for a couple of days, and to have access to our own food and the use of cooking facilities. This was a wonderful property. Highly recommended.”

“The Luggage Hostel & Suites has a very good location on the hillside with nice views. It is easy to park in the street and calm in the night. It is a charming old villa with special architecture and atmosphere. You can have breakfast or a drink on the balcony with view to the other hillside and the old university. The staff is very helpful with information about Coimbra and you can easily walk to the sights, old town and city center. We would have liked to stay one more night, but unfortunately...

“Beautiful old world apartment central to everything. Hotel was clean and modern and instructions were easy. Finding location at first was challenging as there is no car pull in or front desk. However once we arrived it was easy. The bed was a bit firm and walls very thin so heard the people above us. Gentleman who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Worth the money and very safe. ”

“Liliana welcomed us with warm enthusiasm! She helped us to the third floor (!) with the luggage and made sure we were comfortable with the room. When they warn you about the ceiling height of the attic rooms, pay attention! I knew the warnings, but liked the idea of the attic. My husband who is over six feet tall was not as happy with the room. I giggled with each bonk of his head on the ceiling. Despite his minor injuries, we both loved the location and room, and we are still married! Liliana...

“When we arrive was a town local band right inthe entrance and 3 tables with old people drinking and so.e people was fight. Was a scary town and scary town. We leave the town right away. Nothing like is in the google, Home app or boking app.”

“I believe Antonio said the property was built in thef 30's. It was a good stay and we enjoyed it. The breakfast was good and nice to be social with other guests. There are lots of stairs so keep that in mind. ”

“What made this stay special was the host Maria- she made us feel like family . It’s situated in a neighborhood downhill from Jardim Botanico that connects to the University of Coimbra . Relaxing and quiet place. Older but with great character. ”

Be sure to have breakfast at O Croisant and an espresso at Santa Cruz Cafe, both just steps away from the front door. Lots of stairs to see the best of Coimbra so bring your walking shoes ”

“The loft is clean and spacious. The neighborhood is great and there'ew many cafes and restaurants just a few meters away. The kitchen is well-equiped. I wish there were some basic cooking supplies such as oil, salt and pepper, or a coffee maker in the unit.”
