Hotell nära Colombo Lighthouse

"Rummet var bra även om det var lite lyhört till grannarna. Fick fantastisk service och god mat på Emperor's Wok och speciellt tack till Ms Janet Jansz som verkligen såg till att man lämnade restaurangen nöjd och belåten."

"We enjoyed very much to stay at this historical, colonial hotel. You could really feel how it must have been and still is, this very fashionable luxury hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We liked to stay by the pool and swim in the 30 meters long salt water pool. Breakfast was excellent. It seemed to be many English guests. It must be special with the colonial heritage. All staff were polite and very helpful. The location was excellent next to the sea. It is a special hotel you shouldn’t miss."

"Vänliga och hjälpsamma servicemedarbetare. Fint takpoolområde med härlig utsikt. Sängarna var sköna, rena rum. Saknas dock krokar och även extra bagagehylla. Kunde fixa frukost att ta med väldigt tidigt missade tyvärr frukostbuffén. "

"Hotellet är slitet och behöver en renovering. Personalen är inte trevliga och är helt förvirrade. Det tog personalen ca 6 timmar innan vi kunde få våra bagage. Tillslut fick vi själva gå ner till lobbyn och hämta dessa. Det finns bättre hotell i Colombo för priset som fokuserar på att ge god service och som har fina rum. Vi ångrade att vi checkade in på detta hotell. "

"Got a voucher for 12 usd when I made me reservation. No one noticed that and I had to argue with restaurants that n the area and still they could not solved it. For the future it is much better if you give the guests a paper voucher as they do at the sister hotel cinnamon red when you Check in. Also a difference when the staff of cleaning make the room, sometimes toothbrush and refill of water and other days not. The “night club” Colobar is a bit is a problem since they plays loud music outside and the music can be heard in the rooms, that is not what you wish for a hotel like this. Improvement please on this! Still this is one of my favorite hotels in Sri Lanka but I also think it needs a renovation. "

"Very nice hostel overall but they could definitely benefit from some type of curtains on the beds since you get absolutely no privacy and the rooms are mixed men and women. The bathroom is not nearly big enough and has no shelves or hooks to bring your stuff there to change clothes etc "
