The Space:

The chalet offers a small yet very functional space which can accommodate up to 6 guests per stay.



Our bedroom suites are thoughtfully placed on different levels to offer plenty of personal space. Both rooms utilize an open-doorway design to maximize the mountain views and natural light throughout the home. If your group requires floor-to-ceiling door enclosures for privacy, please keep this open-concept layout in mind before booking.

The entire chalet is yours to enjoy. To ensure the space is perfectly prepared for every guest, our host supply closet—located at the back of the master bedroom—remains tucked away. For our guests joining us for four nights or longer, we are happy to open this space for your use of the laundry facilities. We kindly ask that you use only the provided guest amenities so we can maintain a consistent, high-end experience for everyone who visits.

While Aspen Grove Chalet feels worlds away, it serves as a perfectly central home base for exploring the Pikes Peak region. Whether you're seeking high-adrenaline summits or a quiet corner with a craft latte, you are minutes from the best of the high country.

Mountain Hikes & Pathfinding

• Lovell Gulch Trail: A local favorite just minutes away. This 5-mile loop offers stunning Pikes Peak views and is dog-friendly (with some off-leash areas for well-behaved companions). 

• Red Rocks Trail (Woodland Park): A gentle, scenic walk through ponderosa pines leading to striking sandstone formations—perfect for a meditative morning stroll with your dog. 

• The Crags Trail: For a true alpine experience, drive a short distance to Divide for this 4-mile trek. It’s easy on the paws with needle-padded paths and ends with breathtaking rock spires.



Artisan Coffee & Elevated Dining

• Cafe Leo: For the connoisseur. A modern, high-end roastery in the heart of town perfect for a slow morning espresso or a fresh pastry.

• Nature & Landmarks: Garden of the Gods (25 mins), Mueller State Park (15 mins), and the Pikes Peak Cog Railway (30 mins).

• Culture & History: The Manitou Cliff Dwellings, the Olympic Training Center, and the charming boutiques of Old Colorado City.

• For the Pups: If your dog needs some social time, the fenced Golden Meadows Dog Park in town offers plenty of space to run under the mountain sun.



Getting Around:

Your Arrival

Our chalet is tucked away on authentic mountain roads to preserve its quiet atmosphere. For your comfort and safety, an AWD vehicle is essential during the winter and highly recommended throughout the year. Upon booking, we provide a specialized arrival guide with a preferred entry route that avoids the steeper terrain suggested by standard GPS. Please keep a copy of these directions handy to ensure your journey into the pines is as peaceful as the stay itself.

A Mindful Approach to Your Stay

To maintain the serenity and safety of the Aspen Grove Chalet, we ask our guests to embrace a few mindful practices during their mountain retreat.



The Journey: Arrival & Navigation

Our chalet is tucked away on authentic mountain terrain to preserve its quiet atmosphere.

• Vehicle Requirements: For your comfort and safety, an AWD or 4WD vehicle is essential during the snow season (October–May) and highly recommended year-round due to our natural dirt roads and steep inclines.

• Winter Flexibility: Our local community volunteers work hard to maintain the roads, but heavy snow (especially in February and March) can cause delays. We suggest keeping your travel schedule flexible when snow is in the forecast.



Preserving Our Natural Resources

As part of our commitment to sustainable mountain living, the chalet operates on a cistern water system. This water is pristine, potable, and safe for all your needs, but it is not an unlimited supply.

• Water Mindfulness: We kindly ask that you be conscious of your water footprint—ensure faucets are off when not in use and only run full loads in the dishwasher.

• Laundry Facilities: To ensure a stable water supply for all guests, laundry facilities are available for stays of 4 nights or longer. Please ensure your guest count is accurate so we can prepare the cistern accordingly.



Space & Accessibility

The chalet is designed across three beautiful levels to maximize the forest views, which does include several sets of stairs:

• The Layout: The main living spaces are on the second level. The Master Suite is on the ground floor (accessible via internal stairs or a private exterior sliding door), and the cozy loft with two queen beds is on the third level.

• Mobility Note: Because of the exterior deck stairs and the multi-level interior, this home may not be ideal for those with restricted mobility. We encourage you to review the photos to ensure the space is a comfortable fit for your group.



Respecting the Transition

To ensure every guest enters a perfectly sanitized and "Modern Zen" environment, our cleaning team requires every minute of their window.

• Checkout: We are unable to accommodate late checkouts due to our high demand and same-day arrivals. We appreciate your prompt 11:00 AM checkout to avoid the $150 late fee (applied after 11:30 AM) and to keep the sanctuary ready for the next traveler.

• Extended Stays: For retreats of 10 days or longer, an additional deep-cleaning fee applies to maintain the home’s high standards. Please reach out for details prior to booking.

For bookings of 5+ guests a charge of $10/guest per night will apply.



Cancellation Procedures

While we adhere to the cancellation window selected at the time of booking, please be advised that all refunds are subject to a 3.2% nonrefundable processing fee. This amount covers the cost charged by our payment processor and is withheld from the total refund amount should you choose to cancel within the allowed timeframe.
