“Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and property were clean. Only negative was the shower was difficult to control the water temp and the switch to turn it on was above the bathroom door on the outside of the bathroom and this wasn't explained. Otherwise excellent.”

“I was three days at Goodwin House and met the friendliest couple Chris and Liz. They had a lot of suggestions where to hike and was so nice! The home made breakfast with fresh fruit and berries, granola, juice and a warm English breakfast (or alternatives). I definitely recommend Goodwin House!”

“We were very pleasantly surprised on arriving at the Boutique Hotel. We were warmly greeted with a glass of Prosecco. Our suite was so much better than we had expected. In addition to the bedroom there was a room with a table for meals, a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and a Sauna. Our suite did not have a 'hot tub', which the other suites had, but that did not concern us.The Breakfast menu was excellent and food was cooked to order. “Perfect location for travelling around the lake and for going out in the local area. Delicious and ample breakfast, tailored to your needs with plenty of tasty options which set us up right for a long walk. Super comfy bed, warm, little nice things like milk and good advice on walks and local sights. They also gave us biscuits to keep us trucking on our walk on our way out the door. ”

“Our stay at the guest house was very good - Michelle was very helpful and even lent us a brolly to cope with the lovely lakes weather ☺️ The room was very clean and more than ample for our one night stay Would highly recommended a stay here The only disappointment was there isn’t any parking as stated on hotels.com site - just street parking wherever you can find a space ”
