“Great place close to interstate but quiet and a huge fenced in yard. If you have pets this is a gem. I will agree with another review it is a little tight getting our large pickup in the driveway entrance but it works. We will stay again when we are in the area.”

“The little house was exactly as described. It was very cute, spacious and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and I’m picky about my bed! The train tracks are VERY close, but we enjoyed watching the trains go by. There were about 3 per night. The horns woke us but we were lulled back to sleep by the sound of the trains. The kitchen was well equipped but I suggest you bring your own spices if you plan to cook. The area is gorgeous and we were able to hike many trails throughout the park....

“We LOVED our stay! The house had everything we needed from spices in the kitchen to hot chocolate for my boys. The dog bed and dog toy were a bonus! This was our first family trip that we brought our pup with us, and I feel now he'll get to go on every vacation. The fenced in yard was great, the view from the yard/deck was wonderful. The owners gave us a bunch of recommendations from places to hike and where to eat. Everything was wonderful!”

“So close to the mountain, which is exactly what we needed for our family snowboard trip. The pictures don’t do the place justice. It was spacious and comfortable. Only downside, closest grocery stores are 20ish minutes away so we survived on Dollar General and it worked out perfectly! Highly recommend you stay and experience all that Winterplace has to offer.”

“Once booked, I had nothing but great communication with Karen the owner. She left a lovely note about the history of the home and how it has been in her family since it was built. It was built in 1902 and is an older home, but it gives a great feeling of what it is to live in the hills of West Virginia. Her Mom welcomed us and visited to make sure we had everything we needed. “We stayed there over the Bridge Celebration weekend after not being able to find a reasonable priced hotel room. It was as expected, tent camping, and had the place to ourselves. Great large camping area, not far from anything! Communication was great, just a good place to stay!”
