“The property is excellent. 5 Stars!!! The problem was that we went to the address given on the confirmation but nobody was there to talk to. Since we had no WiFi available we could not contact the phone number supplied and nobody sent a reply when we finally had a WiFi connection. Luckily for us, one of the residents across the street came and contacted the people at Urban Retreats. “It was a lovely property and Deirdre was such a nice hostess. It was the first time I stayed at a B&B and I was traveling with my daughter through Ireland. Deirdre helped us with dinner reservations in town and assisted us with local attractions and church options for Sunday Mass. If ever traveling that way again, I would love to come back to Robin Hill. ”

“Very nice hotel catering to everyone. They have banquets in adjacent facilities, they have workers and business people, combined with older couples. Great restaurant down stairs and a gym next door. Rooms might starting to see some aging, but comfy beds and pillows and it is very nice and clean. I will definitely be back.”

“One of the best customer service I have ever experienced - far above the expected both at check in, upgrade to a suit without request and personal greeting with complimentary coffee/tea and croissants despite early checkout, including free airport shuttle. A pity it was only for one night, would definitely book again.”

“This is definitely a beautiful hotel. Staff is very friendly and down to earth, great welcoming when checking in. I forgot my tablet when checking out and it was easy and convenient to pick it back up after work. They were very tentative and reached out to me quickly in this matter. Rooms are old fashioned, but very nice and the beds are comfortable and you sleep great in them. ”

“I was unexpectedly in Cork for one night and I stayed at this lovely hotel. It was excellent location,the friendly staff at the reception let me check in early and gave me a quiet room with a bath. really nice breakfast and restauranf. the only think was that they had a added a breakfast for two on my roomservice bill but theysorted it out with no hazzle at all. gave me good advice on what to do and see”

“Beautiful classic old farmhouse property nicely renovated and updated into a wedding destination and B&B. Our large room was spectacular with vaulted ceilings and an antique poster bed. Wonderful antique furniture and decor, but with a modern bathroom. Lovely farmhouse setting with donkeys in a paddock and fruit trees in the backyard. Although we had to leave early, we saw the spectacular breakfast spread. Woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful.”

Nice hotel but terrible service and run down

"I stayed for one night only, during a business trip. I booked a room with a double bed, but was given a room with two single beds put together. I requested to change, explaining that I have a bad back, but was told that there were no rooms of that type available, and was told they can’t do much for me, when the correct thing to do is to offer an upgrade where there is a double bed. It’s absurd to have to sleep with two beds splitting up underneath one’s back when one books a room with a king/queen bed. I also requested to check out an hour later so I could go to the gym, given that my flight was late afternoon. I was abruptly told that they do not allow any late checkouts, despite the statement on the website of the hotel that informs guests that they always try to accommodate late checkouts, and guests should ask. I travel roughly 150 days a year for work and can say that the service at the Dean Cork is rude, unfriendly, abrasive and just overall lousy. Bed was cracking and springs could be felt. Cracks on tiles and walls and doors in the room. The Dean Cork is all “style” but no substance. "
