Med en privat pool och tillgång till stranden kommer du att känna att du är de enda i området! Med den våta stranden kan du ta en soluppgång eller njuta av din solskydd utan att trassla genom djup sand! Du kan känna dig trygg med att låta dina barn leka på den privata stranden, eftersom det inte finns några stora folkmassor, och du kan se tydligt mil i endera riktningen! Avsluta kvällen på den rymliga balkongen med en 7-personers badtunna för att koppla av och titta på solnedgången i!

Gästerna kommer säkert att njuta av en minnesvärd semester i detta fullt möblerade, 4 sovrum 4 1/2 bad lyxiga stranden hem.  Huvud / sovrummet har en king size-säng, medan de återstående rummen är möblerade med en king / eller queen size-säng (er), bekväm att sova 10+ personer.  Det rymliga vardagsrummet är möblerat med bäddsoffa och stor platt-tv.  Köket är perfekt för middagar eftersom det är utrustat med alla nya apparater och vardagsmat.  Beläget i ett samhälle vid stranden kan gästerna njuta av en eftermiddag med strandaktiviteter eller simma i privat pool och senare titta på solnedgången från balkongen utanför vardagsrummet.  Vi tillgodoser barn också .... en barnstol och bärbar spjälsäng finns!

I booked this place over a year ahead of time, because it's not easy to find quality 5-bedroom rentals in Port A. I knew this would be a great place for my husband and me and our extended family that includes 3 other adults and 5 children. It was great to have a bathroom attached to each bedroom, plus an additional half bath. The house is an inverted floor plan; the living areas (kitchen, dining, living room, terrace) are all upstairs along with the one bedroom my husband and I shared. The entry level has 4 bedrooms and baths and a laundry room. The kitchen is very nicely equipped, with induction stove, great fridge, and nice dishwasher. The cookware is also very nice, and basic cooking items like salt, pepper, oil, and a few seasonings were included. There were plenty of dishwasher pods.Everyone really enjoyed the hot tub, but wished there was more shade on the terrace late in the day. There is a distant view of water in 2 directions. It was very windy, so the patio cushions kept blowing off. All in all, we had a very nice stay with only a few minor issues that will be communicated to our host, Hope. She was a great communicator when we asked for help. There was only a single key provided, so we ended up locking the key in the lockbox and giving the adults the combination. It would have been nice to have easier access.

Time in Port A

We had eight people in our group and one small dog. Ages ranged from 54 -75 years. The house was very spacious for our group and everyone loved having their own room and bathroom. However due to the ages of our group, going up and down the stairs got old for some. Something to consider if traveling with older adults. The deck was nice, unfortunately when we were there we couldn’t use the hot tub due to the control panel being broken. Totally understandable, but bummed. We were also bummed about the location/distance of the pool and beach/ocean to the house. Our suggestion to get on the beach would be to drive about 1.5-2 miles to beach access to drive on the beach and not make the trek on boardwalk( with stairs). Hope was very responsive to our questions and concerns. The only concern we had was backdoor not locking from the upstairs living room to the deck. All in all we enjoyed our stay and the house suited our needs for our group.

Our annual Gulf visit was as good as ever

My wife's family owned property in Port Aransas since the mid-50s and we've made an annual pilgrimage to this special place for the last 40 years. That tradition continues now with our adult children and their partners and we always look forward to it. Since we've found Hope's property a few years ago, it's like coming home all over again. We love this house and the new memories we're making. Hope is always very responsive, kind, and helpful. As our friend Arnold says, "I'll be back!" Thanks for another year of fun.

Thanksgiving Gathering 2023

We loved the proximity to the beautiful beach, we walked for miles every morning with the sunrise, we held our own family Turkey Trot: barefoot! The rooms all had their own bathroom and our 8 person family was very comfortable. Loved the hot tub. Kitchen is nicely spacious for multiple cooks and open floorplan meant everyone can socialize. I picked this home mainly because the dining table held 8 seats which was an indication it could serve us all, and it did!

Spacious Stay!

The home was very spacious with large rooms & private bathrooms and wonderfully laid out common areas - all great for a family vacation. A short walk gets you to the community pool and beach which felt almost private due to our stay being slightly off-season. You are not far from restaurants and grocery stores - but this is a great place to get away from the hustle & bustle.

Fun Family Beach Home

Our family of 5 adults, two teens, and fur babies had a wonderful time at this roomy house. We had just about everything that we needed for a great beach gathering. We had a few minor issues during our stay. The blender motor was stripped, not allowing the blades to turn. Fortunately, we were able to get Amazon to deliver the repair parts the next day! Owner was responsive when we needed to reach out. One thing to be aware of is the prevalence of stickers in the yard around the house and subdivision. It was difficult to take our dogs for a walk without having them covered with stickers. Patio and hot tub were wonderful in the evening. However, it would be nice to have a bit of shade out there during the day. All in all, we all agreed that the house made for a wonderful trip!!

Best one we have ever stayed in!

We have been vacationing in Port A for over 30 years and this is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed. Hope was wonderful as a hostess. I give her an A plus‼️ Our grandkids are young so the hot tub was like their own personal swimming pool. They loved it. The only drawbacks I can think of are 1) no shade on the deck (or at the pool? 2) it was quite the walk to the pool and beach. Next year we will bring a wagon😃

Subpar Experience & Penny-Pinching Host

The house was spacious, yet we had problems with multiple amenities. We are long-time HomeAway/VRBO customers, if I give a review, I give 5-stars because life happens & there can be "one-offs." But this stay had way too many issues. We experienced roaches in the kitchen, an unreliable air conditioner, a broken/rusted washing machine, an unannounced serviceman, door locks requiring jiggling to work, thin sheets (you can see through them), small rough towels, chipped dishes, Dollar Store silverware, wobbly chairs, no beach towels, & limited supplies. We told the host we couldn't find beach towels. After asking us to look around, she told us the last tenant STOLE them & they were an optional amenity anyway. We had to procure our own beach towels. Not ideal. Plus, if true, why was my family inconvenienced by the lack of them? I asked where more automatic dishwasher soap was located. There were only 3 pods. She told us where the handwashing dish soap & a drying rack was. She shared "most tenants only use one pod per day." We reserved 5 days & only provided 3 pods. I pushed back by reminding her we rented a house with a dishwasher as a listed amenity. At that point she had the housekeeper come to the house with more supplies. A hot tub serviceman showed up during our stay, unannounced. He cleaned the hot tub & the deck, which we appreciate. The hot tub is on the 2nd floor patio. So, he came thru the house. Ideally, it is preferred that service should happen before we arrive. We couldn't use it for 2 hours afterward. Again, limiting our use of an amenity. The washing machine was rusted & wouldn't stop running water. We had to unplug it... another unusable amenity. The air conditioner in the converted garage bedroom reset itself to 77 degrees every 2 hours. Sleeping in a hot muggy room was not pleasant. We tightened kitchen chair legs before they broke or someone fell out of them. It goes on and on... This host seems to be penny-pinching & not interested in providing a hassle-free place to stay. I am obligated to share the beach access boardwalk is not sound. Multiple support beans are cracked/ damaged. The whole structure swayed as we walked on it. Also, the extremely weathered wood boards cannot be walked on barefoot due to splinters. This host also submitted $495 of damage to the property damage protection insurance. I think she is scamming them to pay for repairs that PRECEEDED our stay. All in all, we will not return.

Relaxing Getaway

The property was amazing. Had a girls weekend away for mine and my daughters birthday. The listing was accurate. Had everything you needed for a nice getaway. Close to the beach, and the area of the beach was nice. Very family friendly. We will definitely be booking at this property again.

Fantastic Beach Stay!

This property is a must for a quiet, peaceful stay close to the beach! The home is as comfortable as your own with 3 bedrooms with baths down and a master with a bath on the main floor with the kitchen, dining and living area. The deck and hot tub right outside! If there was one speck of dust we could not see it! Supper clean and comfortable. 10 to 15 minutes to restaurants and stores! Perfection!

Overall the visit was good. However, a bedroom that was listed with a king size bed and a twin bed had only a boxspring for the twin bed. This created some issues for assigning beds and bedrooms. How do use extra bedding just to make the boxspring sleep a bowl for a 12-year-old boy Also, listing stated shampoo and basic toiletries, and there was hand soap but no shampoo and only one bar of soap that we found. Also suggest investing in a new coffee maker or Keurig. Existing drip coffee maker was extremely slow. And for a house that sleeps 12 people we had to remake multiple times. And lastly, the fancy TV in the bedroom at the end of the hallway never would work. It would not make a connection to Wi-Fi or whatever method it was supposed to use. Several of us tried to connect it with no luck.

Senior Trip

We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Every bedroom had it own bathroom and TV, which is a must for our group. We purchased a beach parking permit so we could drive the truck with our chairs, tent, ice chest and etc and park on the beach. Some walked down to the beach, it is just a short. Our ages are 12 to 77 and we were all very pleased with our setup. Thanks Hope,

Enjoyable stay in a quiet part of the island.

We had a nice vacation in a spacious and clean house. The beach was nicer than expected. It was also in a quiet section of the beach. North and South on the beach got pretty crazy. Not a long walk from the house to the beach. We drive onto the beach daily. Takes about a 10-15 drive to get to our location. We were a bit surprised by the guests that stayed downstairs. Didn't understand in the listing that it would be rented out while we were there. We thought it was available only if we needed it. Everything worked out well though. Thanks!

There were known issues that the owner did not disclose. • Washer leaks on floor • Keurig broken and not replaced • Pool cleaners come through house during stay to clean spa even if you’re not there. This is a security issue. Our valuables were in the home. The washer completely quit 2nd day requiring hand ringing full load of clothes. It eventually flooded the entire laundry room. Substantial time was spent by us on this issue placing towels, and drying towels to keep water from spreading. There were no clean towels/wash cloths etc. going forward or ability to wash our clothes. We had NO idea home would be shared. We thought we were renting the entire home. We knew we were offered the ‘lockout room’ if more space was needed, but had NO idea it would be rented to someone else if we didn’t rent it. The ‘Lockout Room’ renters showed up at 11:00 PM on our 2nd night w/o warning. This was alarming and scary. We then had no confidence our space was safe due to only a single door between main house and ‘Lockout Room’. This could have been a potentially dangerous situation as we did not know who was outside our door and if we were safe. Contacted owner and was told room was being rented. We replied with our concerns and received NO response from the owner. No one slept well, if at all that night. Many rat/mouse or large roach droppings under bathroom sink. When contacted about the Keurig, mouse droppings, and washer, the reply was, “Sorry for the inconvenience.” Owner did send housekeeper over the next day to clean under the sink and offered some coffee she had on hand there to use in the regular coffee maker, as everyone had brought their favorite coffee pods to enjoy each morning in the Keurig that was listed under amenities. The Keurig has since been removed from the list of amenities.
