The unit was nice, very comfortable for our two families.
Suggestions:
1) Would have liked to have a table out on the back porch to be able to eat outside.
2) Had a lot of trouble finding the thermostat upstairs in the bunk room the first night (it's not visible - behind a sliding barn door), so it was quite hot up there for the kids.
Our biggest issue is that the hot water heater was not functioning, and we couldn't get ahold of anyone - to help us resolve it. So we had cold water all weekend. Showers, dishwashing, laundry etc. The management company didn't respond to my service request until day 3, at which point it was too late. It turned out to be a simple issue, that we would have happily resolved ourselves (e.g. look at pilot light, switch on heater, check circuit breaker) had someone gotten back to us to help us get into the locked utility room in the absence of an available service team.
Vacasa refunded a portion of our trip costs in response to the inconvenience, but there are definitely some wrinkles that need to be ironed out with the management company for things to run smoother for guests paying a premium to stay at Palmilla.
