  • On a work-road trip to McAllen, Texas I had the opportunity to swing by Corpus Christi and grab dinner. No parading, no shopping planned, just a quick bite before seeing more freeway. I wasn't expecting to see very much. Boy, was I surprised. We stopped for dinner just 4 miles off our route at Harrison's in Corpus Christi. We sat in the "floating" seating, a roped off dock with tables and chairs, and enjoyed some of the town's talented musicians singing homegrown versions of Sublime songs. The sun set with beautiful yellow and orange colored clouds reflected in the water and I was amazed no others were photographing this beautiful scene. Maybe indifferent, or maybe used to the beauty that is this town, and us the tourists making ourselves clearly known. Thank you Corpus Christi for your beauty and your meal. I'm sorry our stay was rushed, we will definitely be back!

Best place to stay for a beach day or convention.

Spacious location, a wonderful place just off the beach can easily sleep eight or more adults definitely will come again

Corpus Christi

The house was very large with awesome charm and character. Andrea was great resolving any concerns promptly. The location has a large number of homeless people. They were very friendly and did not cause any problems. My daughter works in the hospital a block away so I was able to take my granddaughter to see her mom on Christmas Day as a surprise! It was awesome to see the smiles! The house was large enough for all of us to have a wonderful gathering for the holiday! Neighborhood cats are very friendly and hang around for attention and food!

Property was clean and comfortable and has tons of character. Host was easy to work with and very professional. We would definitely return to this property.

Only window A/C units so very hot in summer.

Location and proximity to everything we needed was great. The place was a little old as I expected, but we were finding dead cockroaches in the morning when we woke up. The house did not have central air conditioning. There were window units in all the rooms. The first floor stayed relatively cool, but the upstairs was really hot and hallways and bathrooms that did not have a/c units were even more unbearable. I also suspect the a/c may have some mold on it because my son has a lot of allergies and had a croup cough in the mornings. There was also a few (possibly) feral cats outside around the house. My son is allergic to cats so i was a little scared for his allergies. The croup cough may be from the cats, not necessarily mold.

Dirty

Dirty, pest infested, feral cats in large quantities, running amok, Wi-Fi spotty or not even working, owner stated we should’ve notified her upon arrival and made it seem like it was our fault for not contacting her. we never should have had to put up with the filth in the pest infestation or feral cats to begin with. Property was not portrayed the way that it was found.

Sight Seeing

Great location! Walking distance to beach and parks close by. Short driving distance from the USS Lexington, The Texas State Aquariaum, and museums. Kitchen was a plus for our family and well as the leaving quarters.
