“Stayed one night. Wished for two single beds, but got a double. Bed in itself was comfortable but we still couldnt sleep. There were sounds from the ac even though we had turned it off. No view, the windows were covered. Bathroom had a tub and a gand shower but it was impossible to stand up straight and shower due to the roof. There was also no curtain. “We arrived early but we're shown straight to our room. The room was a good size with a very clean bathroom. The bathroom was of a good size with a walk in shower. The breakfast menu was more than adequate, enabling a cooked breakfast, cereal or fruit every day. The quality of the breakfast was excellent. The location was great, allowing a short walk into town or the old town and a lift ride to the seafront. This is a bonus after a long day out, as getting to and from the evening meal location...

“Oak Tree Rooms was an excellent base for our New Forest weekend. I think the only drawback was the other people staying - they did like a loud conversation through a locked door, which was quite annoying! Other than that, the rooms were very comfortable indeed.”

“Very cozy hotel and Alan, the owner, was very kind and service minded! Got a little bit cold at night but other than that perfect. ”

“Just not worth the money by a long way. Very low budget standard for a mid-price.”

“Heather is lovely. The room and bathroom was perfect... all I needed. The bed was very comfortable, and had a good night's sleep. The ferry is a good 15 to 20 minute walk away, so Portsmouth is only another five minutes on the ferry.”

“Great location, close to seafront. Welcoming hosts, lovely couple who couldn’t do enough for their guests. Superb breakfast- vast range and all cooked to order - served fresh and hot. 5* stay - will definitely return”
