“We needed a place to evacuate to from our coastal home during Hurricane Milton. The owners are kind and generous. We have everything we need here and were able to extend our trip a couple days since we do not have power at home yet. We are still here and enjoy the quiet now after the storm. The house is comfortable and decorated beautifully. We want to bring our kids back here during the summer for a family trip to visit the area and do some trail hiking. “The bedroom windows only had sheer curtains. So every morning, the sun fills the rooms. Downstairs tub was dirty. No coffee/filters. Smoke detector beeped loudly the whole stay. Washer did not work. To say the less.”

“This property was amazing! The check-in was very easy, with a convenient water taxi to and from the property. There are goats, pigs, chickens, and ducks on the property and they are all very friendly. The host was great and super accomodating. This was a great stay, and I cannot recommend it enough if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat.”

“Cozy cabin”

“The cabin was perfect and exactly what we needed. The lake was everything we hoped for. We kayaked, fished, swam and reconnected. The water is clear. The WiFi works well within the cabin and porch area. Make sure to map your way out before leaving. There is a store about three miles away just in case you forgot anything . The host was kind and helpful. Can’t say enough good things about Ed and Wanda. I definitely recommend this place for a quiet getaway as a couple or a family. ”

“This property has 4 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and tile throughout. It does need a refresh, but still a good choice. They stated they have a Keurig machine, but they don't The place needs to be sprayed for little flies and roaches. Otherwise, a good value for the money. Everything worked as it should. ”
