Yes, there may be some creaks and groans with everyone wandering around, but it adds to the charm and really helps you live through its history! Each room is unique and has its own flair. We were in the "smallest," room but it was more than adequate to sleep in. There are plenty of other places to lounge and you are free to explore the building. We didn't take advantage of the spa...
