âOnce we had found the entrance which isn't that well sign-posted (my only complaint), we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of the room and the relative ease of parking (we only had to pay until 6pm and Sundays are free). Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise, given that the menu in the room only mentioned continental style but plentiful, good quality hot food was available. The room we stayed in was obviously refurbished. With the modern amenities of a good bathroom, and the restful atmosphere of the period house, it was a very pleasant experience.â

Proper pub food, reasonably priced and excellent quality. Same can be said about breakfast. Great location to explore the area and walks nearby. Only slight downside were that the walls were quite thin so you could hear movements from neighbouring rooms. â

âConvenient good value hotel. Spacious clean room in good condition with large comfy bed. Although very close to M62 the double and secondary glazing did a great job to keep the traffic noise out. The included breakfast was grab and go style but the bacon sandwich was hot and well-filled, good choice of other items. We used for a music event in Halifax, and will very probably use next time!â
