âThe staff were very friendly thankyou.It is a great place to stay for the piece hall,train station and other places of interest in Halifax.My room was spacious. It was a little bit noisy at night ,but not enough to keep me awake.Only comment,a hairdryer would of been good in the room.Would go back. Thankyou.â
âWe booked The Old Post Office Hotel based on itâs nearness to both The Train station and The Piece Hall.. Less than 5 minutes to both. We were greeted by Jackie, who was lively. â
âThe check in and out was really quick and sammy behind the bar was so helpful regarding taxis etc and a bonus the pub stayed open until we came back from the gig.â

However, Expedia said that they did not receive the payment, and the hotel also asked me to pay for the accommodation.
I paid twice. I am very dissatisfied.â
âWelcoming and warm - complimentary glass of mulled wine and mince pie on arrival and a lovely warm clean room. Staff are kind and thoughtful. Will definitely stay there again when in Halifax.â
âGreat place. The guy at check in was brilliant. Had salmon and king scallops for tea and was beautiful. The Missus enjoyed her fish n chips. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best weâve had and the lady got us in early cos we had somewhere to go. Couldnât do enough for us. Will go again 100%â
âThe staff were great and the food good. There was a lovely garden area we could have drinks in. There was no decent decaffeinated coffee for breakfast only nasty instant. Why? Our room was nice but there as no air conditioning and the windows were high up so we had to stand in a chair to open them. One didnât open. Itâs not healthy not to be able to have fresh air in a room. â

âConvenient good value hotel. Spacious clean room in good condition with large comfy bed. Although very close to M62 the double and secondary glazing did a great job to keep the traffic noise out. The included breakfast was grab and go style but the bacon sandwich was hot and well-filled, good choice of other items. We used for a music event in Halifax, and will very probably use next time!â
âCraig the host was very friendly and arranged taxi transport to & from Piece Hall to his new hotel as The Bull on the Bridge was overbooked. Excellent customer service & both hotels were v nice!â

Ate in the evening and had breakfast. The staff were very good and friendly and the food was excellent.
We actually stayed in the same room on both occasions, was like going down memory lane.
Would definitely stay again, if in the area. â
