“It was very easy for us to settle in and relax. The house was spacious, well equipped and just a stroll down the adjacent path to the beach. The pool is small, as per the photos, however it was the perfect size for our toddlers to play safely and the adults to cool off. The outdoor shower was great for removing sand prior to pool or home entry. ”

Travellers looking for a pool should be aware that the pool is not heated, it was not usable during our trip due to being too cold, (July) the sea was actually warmer. It may sound obvious as it is brisbane’s winter when we visited, but the pool is listed on Vrbo for searches and we booked the house specifically because it had a private kpool. If it is not usable for half the year, I think this needs to be mentioned in the listing on Vrbo. So If a pool is...

“We had a wonderful stay with our 7 and 4 year old children, to do the northern rivers rail trail. The house was tidy and had everything needed including firewood for the firepit (or fireplace in cooler weather) and a selection of games and puzzles. It was so lovely having an outdoor bath while watching the cows graze and wander by. The owners farm dog Wal was so sweet and friendly too.”
