“There is a hidden cleaning fee (Expedia stated 5000 ISK but there is a sheet in person that corresponds to 100 euros or 14000 ISK) that they will charge if you don't dust the furniture, mop the floors, and strip the beds, which I thought was completely unrealistic to expect from guests. Communication with the host cut off once we had checked in. My friend had bed bug bites that were never addressed. “We booked a few nights at the Hidden Cottage and simply loved the place! The cottage is located not far from a village, in a pretty countryside area. The house had everything you needed and the cottage was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. My 13 year old son particularly appreciated the soccer field we had access to!  I recommend this place during your stay in Iceland!”
