“Amazing, historic building with many original features such as a beautiful tiled hallway and original call bells in the corridor. However, the decor and soft furnishings are all a little tired and dated in the common areas and overdue for an upgrade. “Room was spacious, great shower. However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily. “Beautifully located but extremely dated hotel. The room felt like a nursing home. There was zero water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was quite poor. Everything felt cheap and dated”
