Unfortuntley no one knew the people next door had arranged a refurbishment and both ourselves as ownets and our manager tried everything to ask the workers to start later. They were not there when the chalet was as set up for arrival! The TV has always had excellent signal, we have never had any complaints, and we were there the day after you left and the signal was fine! I apologised over the phone for the inconvenience twice, and this was out of our control. The neighbours were inconsiderate

Hello Jake I disagree with your comments in the cleanliness of the chalet. My manager personally deals with this himself and pictures are sent to me to show the chalet is being let in excellent clean condition before guests arrive. I myself do spot checks and have never found the kitchen or floors dirty, I'm sorry. Regarding the towels, we have not supplied them since covid. I consider it a hygiene issue and prefer guests to bring their own. We do supply ful clean bedding for all beds and bedsettee. Plus extra cleaning and electricity would affect the pricing of the chalet and our aim is to keep prices low and affordable for families and children to be able to holiday in Dartmouth. The window blinds were all bought brand new last year and we chose white to make the chalet bright and airy. I have never had anyone say they kept them or their children awake or wake them early, we take our young grandchildren there and they sleep fine! There are no blinds in the bathroom as the windows are opaque glass. You cannot see in or out of them day or night so pointless adding curtains. Thank you, your feedback has been considered. As soon as the housing estate opposite is complete, we will be able to cross over the road and access through the estate to park and ride and sainsburys. Thank you for your review Jackie. Yes we wish the buses ran later in the evening too. There are taxis in Dartmouth that are inexpensive as we are only 10 minutes up the hill from the centre of Dartmouth, so we use these if we want to be out late. Please come again. kind regards carol and don

I was very surprised at the comments regarding cleaning as all our previous 5 star reviews say the exact opposite and compliment the high standard of cleaning. I spoke to our cleaner/manager who insisted the chalet was to the high standard expected and cleaning rules adhered too.

Hello Veneta so glad you enjoyed your stay at our chalet in Devon. We don't advertise a playground on site on our information as yes, the park used to be a full holiday site with pool etc 20 years ago but was sold then also. We do keep asking the owners for them back though!! The nearest playground for children is 5 minutes by car down the road by the sea front but plenty of space for children to play outside the chalet. Happy you enjoyed your stay at Caldon. Most guests comment the king size is extremely comfortable and has an extra padded protector on for extra comfort. However requirements are different in people I accept. that We would love to welcome you at Caldon again kind regards carol
