"Trout Retreat" Àr en riktig och autentisk timmerstuga som ligger bara femton minuter utanför Boone (bara nÄgra minuter frÄn Blue Ridge Pkwy) och ligger i ett vykort som instÀllning pÄ 21 vackra tunnland med nÀstan 1/2 mil klass En lager öring som rinner direkt bakom stugan. Strömmen, Elk Creek, Àr rankad som den nÀst renaste strömmen i hela NC. Om du letar efter en bÀck vid strömmen hittar du ingen bÀttre plats nÄgonstans. det finns gott om vilda djur inklusive öring, rÄdjur, kalkon, rÀv, bÀver och fÄglar.

Trout Retreat-stugan sover upp till fyra med en king size-sÀng, bÀddsoffa, tvÄ fulla bad och ett fullt utrustat kök och innehÄller alla redskap, sÀngklÀder och handdukar som krÀvs för att göra din vistelse bekvÀm. Stugan har ocksÄ en stor skÀrmad veranda och ett dÀck med privat badtunna som har utsikt över bÀcken och picknickbord dÀr du kan fÄ en unik matupplevelse eller helt enkelt sitta och koppla av till strömmens sevÀrdheter och ljud. Beautiful piece of property with a great view of the stream from the screened back porch. The road in front of the house had more traffic than we expected but wasn’t bad and we enjoyed being out in the mountains. The second cabin on the property is quite close and was great for us since we brought our parents. Gave us both privacy yet the convenience of being together when we wanted. Both cabins were furnished well and decorated cute. We did encounter an issue that was disappointing but the owner was so prompt to reply and manage the situation for which we were grateful. We would definitely stay there again.

Charming cabin

If you want a relaxing mountain stay, this cabin is the one. The owner has put much thought into what you may need. I would definitely stay here again in the future and will recommend it to others.

Cabin very serene

The cabin was beautiful and well stocked very quiet and off the beaten path the stream behind the cabin was very calming, the house said there was fishing poles to use at the house but there no poles, however we didn’t go to fish, we will definitely rent again

Trout Retreat

Overall it was peaceful experience. The weather was nice. The cabin was adorable. Loved the hot tub to relax these tired bones in. I would definitely stay again. We had our 6 month old baby with us and it was enjoyable, she enjoyed her walks down near the stream. If you’re not a snake person , then keep that in mind . You are in the wild so expect to see them down by the stream.

Trout Retreat Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it was the perfect size for the two of us and our furry son. It was tastefully decorated with plenty of towels and extra linens. Communications with the property manager were very good. However, there are several maintenance issues/items that need to be taken care of. Also, the cabin is a lot closer to the main road than we thought.

Peaceful

My husband and I had the most relaxing stay here. The cabin is just beautiful and rustic, the back porch is fabulous and where we spent most of our time, and the location can’t be beat. It’s off the beaten path, yet still close enough in to where you can get into town if you need anything. Listening to the rushing creek was relaxing and peaceful. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

Wonderful secluded cabin

We had a fantastic weekend stay at this secluded cabin! The property is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely creek and a small waterfall that our husky couldn’t get enough of. The screened and covered deck was spacious and perfect for relaxing, complete with a gas grill. Inside, the kitchen was very well-equipped with modern appliances, cookware, dinnerware, and silverware, making meal prep easy. The living room sofa was very comfortable, and the king-size loft bedroom with its own sitting area was a real highlight—so cozy!A few things to note for future guests: the drive up includes very curvy mountain roads, so if you’re prone to car sickness, be prepared. The Wi-Fi works, but keep in mind it’s what you’d expect for such a remote location. Also, the washer and dryer are located in the basement, which may not be ideal for everyone. If you suffer from allergies, bring your medications—the cabin is clean but, being a rustic place, there may be some dust in less-used areas.The cabin is about a 30-minute drive to downtown Boone, making it easy to enjoy the town while still feeling wonderfully secluded. We had a great time and are already looking forward to coming back!

Fishing and relaxing

Beautiful property

The property is beautiful. I wish there had been more transparency about the road to get there. It’s dirt for the most part and not well kept at all. Was not expecting that at all. The house itself is lovely. Great stocked kitchen, bed was comfy. Water pressure was awful but that can be tolerated. I would stay again!

We love this cabin and the sound of the creek is wonderful & relaxing!! The kitchen is full of what you would need to cook a meal, even a crockpot. Plenty of hot tub towels are available and a propane grill on the deck for a cookout. This is a great place to unwind.

Great place to unwind

We enjoyed the weekend at this very nice, clean cabin. The location on the stream and the screened porch were perfect to get away from the everyday stress, not to mention a great hot tub under the stars. Awesome way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We would definitely stay again.

Back porch

My wife and I enjoyed the back porch after we washed all the dust from the road off the chairs. There were a couple of cleanliness items in one of the cabinets we had to take care of but after that it was a nice cozy cabin to unwind in. There was a new grill to use and had the creek not been low, the fishing would have been better I believe. Overall it was a good stay.
