“Bad experience with me and my family, we were asking for pillows because the cabin was with no pillows, and then we called and nobody from the staff came to give us pillows, and then the main bed was infested of big ants, my mom was frustrated she can’t even sleep, to be honest I want a refound.”

“In all was a good experience. A family run the place so even tho we had no disturb sing and check out was a certain day we were waken up 1st time to ask for garbage and 2nd they open the door because their paperwork showed checking out that day which it was not.The back door entrance would not lock and when checked out female at front to check out no customer service she is jut there.”

“Room 133 needed to be aired out. Breakfast was great. My grandson asked for a wake-up call and the manager appeased him with a call. My grandson was delighted”

“Check in was quick and simple. The guy at the desk was helpful. The property looked clean. The property is older and decor was out dated, but it was well kept and clean. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice and clean. The elevator was clean and working. Our room was decent. It was very well cleaned and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower was great. The water was hot and had good water pressure. The only complaints about the room were that the sink faucet leaked around the...

“Portable bathrooms were keep clean, other than that the grass was to long luckily we did not get ticks. I was not to happy with the place.”

“One night stay for 2 adults, 4 kids with two rooms. One room had broken furniture and mold in the bathroom. The other had missing lamp shades, the texture in the bathroom was peeling away from the ceiling along with mold as well. We ended up leaving early and can’t comment on the breakfast. Strongly needs attention throughout the building. If you’re looking for a place to take a quick sleep, it’ll suffice.”

“I stayed at this property last year en route back east after spending the winter in CO. When I was woken up early in the morning by chipping birds I remembered why I didnt ever want to stay here again. Come on propert owners - get rid of the birds and the garbage that needs to be brought to the dump! And please buy new Bed covers. The ones on the bed I slept in must have been used the past 10* years. It was disgusting. Sorry for this review but you have to know you need to step your game up!”

“I really enjoyed my stay at postcard cabin, starved rock. The staff was excellent, the location was perfect and the hospitality was very accommodating. No complaints. We will definitely be back.”

“They need to do better with thoroughly cleaning rooms. Refrigerator still had someone else old food and beverages in it. Face towels were dirty.”

“The breakfast was great. Room was clean but the bed was not comfortable. Both my partner and i woke up in pain from the bed. The front staff could havr been more informative as to times things close and when checkout is. She didnt give any information. ”

“We stayed here one night to visit Starved Rock State Park. The hotel is not far from the park by car. The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. The closest surroundings are not picturesque, but we knew that. Good value for money.”
