“Good check in, good staff, lots of parking. Room was large and very nicely decorated, if a little warm (there was a fan but it was very very dirty and I had to dismantle it and clean it to get it to work properly). Room was let down by the bathroom - there was visibly peeling and missing paint around the top of the shower, and splash marks/spilled...something all up the walls behind the door and by the toilet. The seat on the toilet was also a soft padded one, which was a little odd....

“Just needed a place to stay on our way to London and ended up in Melbourne. The room we got at Harpur's was in excelent condition. Clean, Good standardA little noice from the street outside but that didn't bother us. Very good service. Had a excelent dinner at their restaurant and a couple of beers. We had 2 weeks of touring around britain, and Harpur's was one of the better places we stayed in. Very good value. Doesn't hurt that Melbourne was a very nice town/village that we never heard of...

“The property was just lovely the breakfast was yum the staff were all helpful and polite. What truly let the experience down was, The room really needs the furniture re-varnishing it was really worn and scratched truly let the room down. Also the lamps are not bright enough the room was really dark and there was no lamp on the dressing table ?? There are ceiling lights but these were too bright and ruined the ambience. The carpets are really in need of a good clean throughout. Real Shame about...

“One night stay, room(plum porter) much bigger than photos , clean comfy and in keeping with the building. Staff very friendly, beer spot on food good. We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time. Nothing we didn't like, beautiful hanging baskets, beer terrace, a very popular, dog friendly pub, thanks.”

We had 2 meals (dinner and breakfast) and both service and food were really very good. Servers and staff were attentive and hospitable. The location is also excellent. We stayed in Dunsa in the main building and unfortunately felt a bit catfished by the room considering the price (~$280 USD.)
