This apartment was the perfect fit for a weekend away in downtown Des Moines! Great space, well furnished, nice decor, and an AMAZING location! The host was very reliable for quick and polite communication. I really appreciated all aspects of this getaway. I will definitely book here again!

Money down the drain! Neglectful host!

We booked this unit for two-nights, but left within an hour due to serious safety concerns.The building absolutely REEKED of “substance”. The elevator was out of service, a long-standing issue according to a resident, meaning it should have been disclosed by the host. It took us several trips to carry our luggage up multiple flights of stairs. Within these multiple trips, we literally witnessed two “transactions” between men wearing SKI MASKS!! Needless to say, we felt uneasy and unsafe. While the apartment itself was nicely furnished, it didn't make up for the surrounding environment being dangerous and unacceptable for paying guests. We tried remaining optimistic, but we just couldn't force ourselves to get settled-in. I ended up contacting Vrbo to cancel due to the extenuating circumstances, but was denied a refund since our reservation had technically “already started” Still, we chose to leave, as our safety and experience wasn’t worth the cost of staying!After vacating the property, I messaged the host directly to express my concerns and let them know we wouldn't be staying. Though prior communication had been prompt, they completely neglected my message! To my dismay, the next time I heard from them was the following day via an automated message thanking us for our "stay" and asking us to leave a 5-star review!!We later found out the complex is primarily income-restricted, which is something guests should be able to take into consideration before booking.

Great place for Downtown activities!

I loved the decor of the loft! Everything was clean and looked like the description pictures. Great location to walk around downtown Des Moines for dinner and night life. Definitely recommend!(:
