"I friend and I booked this hotel since it had good overall ratings, but it turned out to be the absolute worst experience we’ve ever had — we were literally fearing for our lives. We were given one of the rooms furthest inside the complex next to some other occupied rooms, even though it seemed like there were many other available rooms at the property. After just 30 minutes in the room, we heard several people yelling uncontrollably. When we eventually looked through the peephole in the door, we saw a large group outside our room, loudly arguing. One person undressed and started waving either a knife or a gun, which made us genuinely fear for our lives and we left as soon as the coast was clear. We are very surprised that this hotel was even available to book via hotels.com since the receptionist said that this kind of behavior is simply common in that area. Never thought I would fear for my life at a hotel booked through this platform."
