“Ein typisches altes japanisches Haus mit tollem Flair. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, täglich frisches Wasser und Handtücher. Wir haben uns zu sechst sehr wohl gefühlt, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat auch sehr gut geklappt. Die Strasse war beim ersten Mal nicht ganz einfach zu finden, auch der Taxifahrer hat sich schwer getan. Ich kann die Unterkunft für eine größere Gruppe/ Familie aber nur weiterempfehlen! ”

“We absolutely loved our stay in Kyoto! Mr. Tenaka was a wonderful host. Unfortunately our flight was delayed a few hours and we didn’t get to the Vrbo until almost 11PM, but he was there to greet us anyway and show us his beautiful property. He recommended many places for us to visit/eat and was always available for questions. The property was gorgeous and immaculately clean. We would love to stay here again if we’re in Kyoto! ”

“Our crew enjoyed a delightful time in the Kyoto farmhouse. The hosts were most accommodating, Hideo-San is a man of many talents, and his wife is compassionate and very kind. The house itself had the necessary items for cooking and living comfortably. There is a very sweet café, which features kitties and delicious food just a few footsteps away. If we ever find ourselves in this part of the world again, we will certainly reach out and reconnect with these sweet landlords. ”

“Loved it, felt like a real local. Washer was a plus and included detergent! Fast responses and overall a great stay :) 9.8/10 a little bit dusty specifically the top of air conditioner but hey, it’s an older place, it was expected and part of the vibe. Recommend if you want to stay in a more traditional place hence the name of the place. ”

The home has been masterfully designed with the latest modern conveniences enclosed within spaces that feel genuinely old-school Japanese. An unfortunate ending to a lovely hotel stay

"Harmonic, clean and calm hotel with a lot of amenities. The private baths were amazing, the public bath was also very nice. The traditional breakfast was really interesting. Not all things were to our liking. Natto for example was an acquired taste but overall it was really nice to try the genuine Japanese cuisine. The staff was also extremely helpful the day we checked out. My fiancée unfortunately had to go to the ER. The staff helped us to call the local hospitals to see which one was available and they also called for a taxi. We highly recommend this spa hotel."
