“The Japanese Apartment was perfect for my family (2 adults & 2 kids). Having tatami style beds means we didn’t have to worry about the kids falling off the bed. There was enough space for them to play. The property is clean & staff are friendly and helpful. The property is about a 600m walk to Ikebukuro Station (exit C9 has an elevator/lift for those with luggage or a pram). We didn’t spend much time exploring Ikebukuro, but there seems to be plenty of dining options nearby. ”

“I don't think this should be called a hotel. It is not. there is no staff Manning the place. It is really a unit or apartment. having said that it was a nice place to put your feet up at the end of the day. Easy walk to the train and buses.”

“The room was spacious for a family of four. In-room laundry was very helpful. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Our only complaint is that we needed more options to hang our laundry for drying. Some sort of retractable clothesline would have been helpful.”

“1 train stop away from everything you need - or a 15-20min walk! Wouldn't have been ideal if you're heading in and out a lot but we were out one in the morning and back at night and it was great. ”

“Smidig incheckning via ipad, gick bra att sova 4 vuxna i rummet. Många convinience stores i närheten vilket gjorde frukosten snabb och enkel. Lite dåligt med uttag för laddning av mobiler etc. Liten bit att gå från närmsta station men annars väldigt bra”

“The rug in the living room was so dirty. The table provided was too small which was not suitable for 6ppl for dining. The cookware were so dirty as well. There was a tiny cockroach in the room that I stayed which located at the ground floor! ”

“Place was convenient to travel to hotspots and outer Tokyo. I’d recommend this place for short term stays as it’s quite small and not too much room for multiple luggage’s. it be great if the room owners added extra pillows and towels as the pillows are extremely flat and uncomfortable and the towels are very thin. I’d also suggest removing the big round table in the bedroom to make extra space and replace with something more convenient for guests. Other than that room was great. ”

“As a foreign tourist in Japan, the only thing you really need from a hotel is a comfortable bed, a working toilet and a good shower. This hotel offers precisely that (and also a heat pad and a microwave oven). I also like the fact that they don't bother you with a cleaning crew every morning, so you can just relax and keep things the way you want to, all through your stay. As it sits at a very nice and low price point it is good value for money. The only downside is that it is a bit outside of...

“The host Keita is very nice and kind! He provided any help we need regarding our stay. We kept communicating with him via Whatsapp and Vrbo, and he answers whenever we have inquiries.The 2 connected rooms we lived in can accommodate a total of 3 people. There are 2 aircon with cooling and heating so the room are warm despite the almost freezing temperature outside. There is also a hanger where we can hang our jackets and towels. The room is quite spacious compared to other hotels in Tokyo....

“When we arrived we met the owner and he was really kind. He sat down with us and we got a chance to talk about our trip. Gave great recommendations. As for the stay the guest house is as advertised. It has great amenities and has space up for 4 people. We did get there early but have to mention that you can see the age of the guesthouse. Some improvements can be made here as there was mold in the shower, air vents and A/C units. My wife and I have allergic sensitivities to mold and it started...

"Comfy no-nonsense hotel, very convenient location near Ikebukuro, but way calmer. My second stay there. A shame that people with tattoos are still banned from using their spa, an utterly senseless relict of a rule, very out of place in a modern hotel."
